Finished my last figure for the competition... Dracula (chaos champion). I'll do proper pics of everything tomorrow.

Thanks! I was hoping for a full slate of 5 special characters to enter but #5 still hasn't shown up (and I wouldn't have been able to finish him in time anyway). Here's a preview of my entry. I'll do a proper photo shoot of each and the group together tomorrow.

Gits, that's just an awesome monster mash! Although what has been seen cannot be unseen, so now every time I look I imagine Dracula faceplanting having tripped over the pumpkin! Perfectly thematic; we don't have a 'Judge's Choice' award, but if we did I think you'd be taking it this month!

They look great Zambro, congratulations!

Thanks for the support guys, but don't count any checkens before theyr'e hatched. There are some FANTASTIC entries this month and while it's a real honor to have people speak so highly of my work, there are plenty of other folks who deserve your praise as well.

Not that I'd... turn anyone's vote away or anything...

Official pics later today.

I count 16 entries so far, plus Gits, lets see if we can push it past 20 folks!

If you've submitted a final entry, can you do me a favour and check it's in the OP and tagged as finished? Don't want to miss anyone out!

It seems a lot of people are busy in October. :(

Question, Para. Can my proof pic for November be one I already took for my blog? I haven't done anything new to the figure since basecoating it mid year.

Absolutely! As long as the proof represents the state the minis are in at the start of the month, and meets the other guidelines, it's all good.

So last night I was going to make some molds of piles of skulls for the base of my entry. Only to find that the silicone for making the mold is well... You can see in the pic below.

I'm out for this month's competition. See you all in November's

Looks like another strong month, the painting level that people achieve in a month always impresses me!

Just finished my entry, will get a few pics up later tonight, but I intend to take some better photos tomorrow morning when I can get some natural light.

I'm there, but you've only got my proof for the one figure (Frankenstein's Monster). Don't know if it matters but I did post proofs for the other three.

Yeah, I don't worry about proofs after the first. At that point, so long as I've seen it it's fine.

@Gitsplitta - any chance of getting a tutorial on how you made your pumpkins? I am aware it is a pretty seasonal requirement but would love to have the technique in the old repertoire.

My entry looks good, Paradigm.

Lots of great entries this month, mine seems rather paltry by comparison, but maybe a few will take pity on me and throw a vote my way.

Take it easy for now, and good luck everyone.

Well it was, but I've actually started painting it today, so it won't be by tomorrow. I hope that a couple of basecoated panels and patchy track painting won't knock me out, but I've got 80 infantry to crack through for the 5th Dec, so I'm trying to get the simpler ones done.

It's the rhinestones that are going to take the longest.

Fair enough. If you're working to other deadlines as well then I'm not going to say you mustn't start until tomorrow!

Are we still doing poll threads for the next challenge? I've been busy and am out of the loop but didn't see one at a quick glance.

Am interested as to the next focus of the challenge as well, if I have anything fitting I may well give it a punt.

We did, last week. The theme for next month is Princes of the Universe, so anything that is powerful, high-ranking, better-than-your-average-joe ect.
