I mist excellent kitbashes you've got there and this is a textbook example of the look and feel of traitor guard (at least to me this is a good thing) I can't wait to see more from you in the future.

That tank is a good start, but as a big mek I mist demand more dakka!

This thread made me laugh alot

These miniatures seem to oooooze character.

I love the guardsmen holding two grenades whilst in the stocks, the shriveled banner bearer seems unsettling, and well the medic. It looks like a daemonette on masses of steroids.

Great mini's brilliantly converted, and detail is excellent

very good work. Loads of unique pieces that are working really well. I think my only problem with the set is that the tanks are a little flat looking. A bit more highlighting would do them a world of good.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

personally i like the flatness of your painting, but i don't really like highlighting stuff that isn't meant to be shiney. Your guard have a naturalism i like. now weather the living/ half living feth out of them!

'zek out.

Very nice. I particularly like the two psykers. Nice use of chaos bits on the tanks without going overboard. I too tend to go light on highlights (heh), mostly because they don't seem to add that much when you're playing on the table (which is when my figs need to look good). However, I think the tanks could use some washes to bring out the details when you weather them.

Thanks for all the feedback guys! Would have been back with updated sooner, but a combination of forgetting my password and user name and being so far down the country that internet is thought to be a manifestation of the devil made it harder than I thought

Sadly no painted updated, but I have a helova lot of WIP traitors in the works, about 5 more squads me thinks!

@Flinty: Any advice on how to do that? My highlighting skills are about the same level as a nurgling's hygiene standards

@Azekio: With what shall I weather them?! I was considering trying out a camo scheme on their green, but now I'm not so sure, mainly because I can't paint camo

@Kestral (Yes, I know, I really don't shut up easily ) Cheers! Heh sadly the second HQ is just meant to be a priest, no psyker powers to speak of. I felt the shotgun he's toting tends to make up for that though

Once I finish chargin' ma lazers... Er, camera, I'll slop up a few WIP shots. For now, I hope this wets your appetite:

Finally finished the Bone 'Ead, he's still a WIP but hey, now I have a whole 3 Ogryns! Only another 7 to go...

I wanted to make him look a bit more feral, and I put even more scrap metal on him, better to paint the chaos warpaint on it my dear
Here's a few more close ups on him!

I also made a random chaos light vehicle, my attempt of the Forgeworld Taurus Vener...something, the imperial dune buggy with a lascannon. It's another WIP, so like it it lump it

Boom:

Finally, another WIP, my starts of a Hydra. Just the Chassis so far, but it's coming along nicely. I'm hoping to put the ork Flakk gun from forgeworld on it to make it look hellova ramshackled! Anyway, pix:

Hope y'all like, mostly: Enjoy Comments and criticism more than welcome as normal!

Test camo scheme for the guard, the basic green looks boring
Do you guys think this works?

Think the camo scheme looks ok itself, but personally I prefered them with plain green. Just a personal thing though.

For the Tech Priest I'd suggest a much darker red for the robes - almost black, that should help give it a more chaos look.

Some nice conversions on here by the way

i think you ought to use a brown wash on you red or even you whole model. You color is to pure, especially for chaos, and a wash will give it some depth as well as making it a bit soiled looking. That being said your painting is really nice.

Thanks for the comments!
Monkeytroll: What kind of wash would you recommend for the techy? I'm still messing around with them, no idea what goes with what

@crimsonmicc: Here ya go! A washed (Or should that be unwashed...?) Ogryn.

Now the flash kinda messed up the picture a tad, he looks really shiney... The brown worked a treat on the red, but the skin still needs something...

Oh and here's a tank

Comments welcome as always!

These traitor guards are both wonderful and truly disturbing. I especially like the masked guard with the clawlike arm and the blood bullet shaped trunk. But all of them are the right blend of nightmare and class. This is the kind of heretic army my space marines would love to purge. I am looking forward to seeing more of your great models.
