Hi..

as it says above i know nothing. My Son has started getting into warhammer so like any good mum i started building and painting and am now addicted.

Hoping to learn a few things and get a understanding of the game cuase im still lost lol.

If you want to read up on some of the background (aka fluff) to the 40K universe, check out Lexicanum - one of the better Warhammer wiki's about.

Also, if you are doing a lot of painting and assembling, you might want to think about starting a PLog (painting log) on Dakka - there is a cool gallery system here which will let you host all your wargaming pictures too.

There are also a lot of great painters, converters and players here who will be able to help you with pretty much any aspect of the game.

Are you just helping your son with painting or are you going the whole hog with rules and everything? Hopefully you'll find all sorts of inspiration on here!

We started out with the assult on blackridge kit, that was meant to be all lol. We have a 1750 Blood Angels and 1750 Orks in various stages of building and i've started painting the blood angels.

I will take some pictures of my painting so far, which is'nt real flash but i'm finding it fun.

Always happy to learn and be shown things.

If you have the Black reach mini rule book and the ork and blod angel's codex its just a matter of sitting down and reading them once or twice, then any little problems you should be able to sort out with a quick visit to the "You make da call" forum.
