Give it a go...necron v necron could work out to be quite a bit of fun as you both have the same weaknesses...

It's actually quite a boring match. Played a match like this a while back with a buddy of mine who used some of my army and it basically just became a match of who can get the lords into CC first. Shooting accomplished almost nothing except from the monoliths against warriors.

ugh, ninja'd.

Get into CC ASAP, and have the monolith shoot warriors. Maybe use Destroyer Lord w/ Warsythe, attach him to a ton of scarabs, and turbo-boost to the front lines.

I wonder how the RAW would work in a battle like that. IIRC some of the wargear specifies "any unit with the Necron special rule...". Kind of interesting if that applied the effects to both sides. A lord with a veil of shadows who teleports an opponent's warrior squad into the corner for some "alone time".

you have to join the unit to veil, so that wouldn't work.

The only advice I can think of would be to roll better than your opponent...I know...right

I have done it and its not that its not fun its just that alot of nothing really happens. Its good for laughs if you do it once but thats about it. Did 7 turns of a KP missions. At the end it was 0-0.
