Hey everyone! I've been lurking here for a few weeks, drooling over everyone's awesome stuff. I was introduced to the WH40k universe a number of months ago when I stumbled upon some painted miniatures and I was floored. I spent the next week solid reading through the Lexicanum, my mind swimming with all the possibilities. About me, I've been sculpting as a hobby for about 10 years, but seriously for probably about 3. This is my first attempt at sculpting miniatures or using green stuff, but I hope to make it work. Hopefully I can impress you guys!

Welcome Welcome! I've only recently jumped (whole-heartedly) into dakka, but it's served me well and i'm glad there's yet another sculptor coming aboard!

Your gallery looks interesting, and the repositioning of the snap-fit space marine looks great! As for not having to cut through the legs if you want to reposition....well.... i'm sorry to say that if you're unhappy with the marines from the tactical or assault squad kits you're going to be doing this a bit more!

Looking forward to seeing an article in the P & M section.

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys. I'll probably be posting some pics of my newbish first pieces in the painting and modelling forum tonight, so keep an eye out for them.

Yea, my avatar is Steve Urkel. I stole it from a cartoon my brother did for our college newspaper a few years back and I use it for my avatar pretty much all over the internet. Same with my name, I'm Stokleplinger everywhere, even XBL. You could call it branding, consistency or lazyness and be equally correct.
