As a new member  to dakka dakka i wish to use this site as an area to learn more about warhammer and to get tips for the construction of terrian.  I have a lamp that gets so hot and radiats so much heat I can create craters in seconds out of foam, the lamp can also melt warhammer.

Right on, you might want to look into getting a new lamp or at least a lower wattage bulb. That way you don't melt your minis while you try and paint them.
