I am in love with the Salamander Scout Vehical from Forge World. However, people are saying that its not worth its Point cost. So. Should I use it as a Salamander Scout? or Chimera?

Chimera. If you want a fast vehicle, take a hellhound. If you want a vehicle with a single heavy weapon, take a chimera or a sentinel.

Chimera for Transport, Hellhound for fast attacker, Valk / Vendetta for Fast Transport.

Im not going to Transport anything in it. I just want to grab the model. I Guess Chimeria with Autocannon, Heavy Bolter, and HK missile is good for me!

Note, the Autocannon Chimera is not in the normal IG codex IIRC.
It may be something you'll need to give your opponent the heads up on.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Yeah, if you want an AV12 vehicle that sports an autocannon and an HK missile, the only way to do this by the codex is with an armored sentinel.

Of course, this would be a huge waste of points, but feel free if you want.

It'd be good for me, too, if it were in the Codex...

Yeah, you could use counts-as. The problem with the Salamander is that it doesn't bring anything to the table, especially for an Armored Company. The Armored Fist Company Commander is the best use for it. Although the ability to issue orders isn't useful, the Surveyor is a tool for campaigns or matches where you know what you're up against. Personally, I don't think its all that great of a model anyway, but then again I just don't like Chimeras.
