How do you guys set these bad boys up? Giving one a lash of submission looks tasty, how well do you guys and girls find the slaanesh set up on the table?

I wouldn't say that Lash Princes are dead, but they have taken a big hit in the meta-game.
The combination of lots of anti-psyker units and heavy mechanized emphasis has made it alot less significant of a power.
I would say that the most common DP build right now is the Nurgle one with Wings and Warptime. After that, its either the Winged Khorne or the Winged Undivided with Warptime, and the reason is simple, Warptime is a reliable way to improve what the DP does best, smash things up in HtH. It also helps balance out those mech armies that rely on moving 6"+ each turn, since you can reroll your hits.

this is my favorite recurring thread..... demon princes should always have wings. the lash prince is the best all around but he's not exactly a killer in close combat. the nurgle/warp time build is pretty good, as is the tzeentch/warp time build. the shooty tzeentch build sucks. so does the khorne build. The slaanesh build is reasonably effective on the table but in the current meta not exactly awesome, since everything is meched up these days. he's still a good buy though because he has a good statline and an occasionally extremely aggravating psychic power for a bargain price. I'd say Wings, MoN and Warptime is top dog right now, with only Wings hot on its heels. The trick to the Daemon Prince is keeping him lean and mean. He's right along side the Avatar for cheapest effective MC, so keep it that way. Lash Princes are cool even in this mech world if your list particularly lacks against hordes. Spending the extra 25 points to utterly maul the occasional horde is worth it if your style revolves around anti-tank weapons. If you're up against a Mech list, just play him like a Spartan Prince and play 25 points down.

Lash is not a great build right now. Far too conditional and in todays meta, he is often dead weight.
I prefer MoN, wings, and warp time.

/sigh...what is it now? Every two weeks?
I will petition my patented (<-not really) Spartan Prince.
A prince with just wings = cost effective murder machine.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Not only that, a Prince with wings is a great distraction unit. In a meched up Chaos Army, having one or two Daemon Princes with wings fly right down the throat of an enemy gives you the distraction you need to get your other units closer to the enemy (especially if you want to disgorge any Khorne 'zerkers). I don't advocate sacrificing them, but with some cover and LOS denial, any firepower they have will be less effective at taking one down.

I've been alternating between a naked winged Prince, Doombolt Prince and Warptime Prince and they all work out about the same.
Part of me wishes I could just go with the KDP for the cheap +1 attack but I run Undivided so I can't justify it.

Though cheap, that +1A is not really points efficient as I've heard.
Seriously... that package for 130 is just sweetness times 2, cause there are two of them in all my lists

Same thread. Two weeks old. First result on Search.
Recent enough to still be relevant, so I'm going to lock this one, please continue discussion in that thread if you so desire.
I quite often run 1 or 2 lash princes, and often I find it's actually the extra point of I that is more handy. But lash is always useful to have as an option.
