Hi folks

I was wondering if anyone had some tips or tactics on how to deal with Nurgle aspect demon army? I am currently running two different style armies, a Ork Kan wall & a Deathwing Terminator army, So far I have learned that they are tougher then hell and a nightmare to bring down even the troops like a plaguebearer seem to be this side of unstoppable. Any tips or help?

Kan wall should crush nurgle. You have walkers, which nurgle cant really kill, and power weapons to negate FNP.

Except any decent Nurgle list will have 2+ MoN Princes which will tear Walkers apart.

To take down a Nurgle list, you need to take out Epidemius before the tally grows too much. Focus fire on his squad with anything that ignores FNP and then mop up the rest of the army at your leisure.

Agreed, But i think its till better to have kans than to not have them.

The response to everything. Use more AT guns. Make feel no pain go away by using high strength/ high AP guns.

High Strength alone won't do it, because all units in the codex are Eternal Warrior. I got the impression that because the Plague Bearers are immune to instant death they'd keep their FnP against weapons that would cause it.

Even if that is true, Plague Bearers are base T5. You're better off taking Plasmaguns than Battlecannons.

Try a small squad of 6 flashgitz (5 plus painboy) give them cybork and more dakka. Possibly a battlewagon. On average you'll make 2-3 FNPless wounds / 2 turns. Then you can assault them and have FNP vs FNP

This seems like an awful idea. Flashgitz are ultra overpriced, so you're paying out the ass to put ~1 wound per turn on units that still get a save and cost way less.

Ya, I don't know if Flash gitz are the answer or not to be honest, I am going to try and run a full out Kan Wall next time and see how it does go.

Kill them with weight of dice.
3 battlewagons, 1 with 15 burna boyz and a BM with KFF, supported by the other 2 full of 20 shoota boyz inc nob with pk and bp. Shoot and burn the crap out of them, force them to use up their luck and spawny rules via overwhelming dice saturation.
Bring in yet more shoota boyz to throw into that on foot, full sized 30strong (inc nob w pk and bp) and tear em all down with sheer weight of numbers.

2 squads of lootas targeting epidermius and daemon princes. Perhaps some deffkoptas to do likewise with t/l rokkits.

Targetpriority: kill Daemon Princes before everything else, preferably killing them by shooting. After the Princes, kill the GUO. Getting the tally up without the big MC's will be difficult. Also, when the Princes are gone, the rest of the army is slow (in a Nurgle Daemon list I assume the Princes have wings). Use weight of numbers against the Plaguebearers. Plaguebearers have 1 attack each. When you deny them the charge they wont do much damage.

Nurgle lists are almost completely without shooting and without mobility. So you get them through shooting and through being mobile, that way they cant touch you. Against a good player this of course is easier said then done, but still, I think those are the basics.

I think the best way to tackle a nurgle army is to fake shots of assuault towards epidemius. With your guns you have to kill the primes and greater daemons. Remember; those primes are only W4 with 3+/5+. They only really have T6 going for them. Beat them with small arms fire. Weight of dice lie that above.

Take these princes apart them just b line you assaults towards epidemius and make your opponent go o. The defensive
