Hi all,

I've just got back into WH40k afer about a 10yr absence! I used to have decent sized spacewolf and ork armies but unfortunately gave all my stuff away when I went to Uni, but a friend or mine from work has got me back in the game.

Have decided to start with an Eldar army (which I had started a few years back so still have some old models) so will post some stuff on here hopefully and let you know how it is going. Do they still sell Blisters packs these days? I need to buy a few Exarchs to make my current army playable but they only seem to do the squad plastic kits these days.

Anyway. Dakka looks great. Looking forward to getting involved.

You can't buy exarchs individually sadly. Just to let you know, you dont have to have an exarch to use a squad. you can happily field 10 Dire avengers without an exarch or 5 fire dragons with no exarch without any trouble. They are only an option, not a requirement

Yeah thanks GC. I played a cheeky 500pt game the other day without, but I think some of the abilities really make a difference to the squads right? Having said that my friends salamander army got pretty much wiped out with what I had! A lucky hit on his whirlwind early on helped though.

Welcome back to gaming. I might make a suggestion to pick up the Dark Eldar instead of Eldar. I love the Eldar, the look of their models, but they are somewhat the equivalent of rice water in the game....especailly after the recently released Dark eldar codex. Just a suggestion

Yeah I got the latest White Dwarf and love the new Dark Eldar models, but going to stick with the good guys for now - I already had a couple of squads of aspects so had a good base. Hey - what's this "flower picking Eldar Youth" business?
