My favorite is probably different than your favorite. Once again, it is all up to you.

Right now, i am having a blast (pun intended) with my Guard army. Platoons and tanks FTW.

My problem is that I am always doing another project. I build up an army and play it several times and then sell it/shelf it for another army. Witch Hunters and Dark Eldar are the only two army books I haven't built for and don't really plan on touching either one.

If you aren't sure what you want, read some fluff or pick up some Black Library books. I get inspired a lot from reading more than from the models themselves.

Space Slann are pretty fun. True, their codex isn't as good as some of the recent ones but their assault Braves are still close combat machines.

5th edition sort of nerfed Neuro-disruptors though so their main anti-heavy infantry weapon is gone, but they still do well in the 5th edition mech environment.

Plus, depending on the army it can be pretty cheap (using a mage council cavalry army).

I have many favorites....but I always return to my first, my main squeeze, the Blood Angels.

4250 points of Blood Angels goodness, sweet and silky W12-L6-D4
1000 points of Teil-Shan (my own scheme) Eldar Craftworld in progress
800 points of unassembled Urban themed Imperial Guard
650 points of my do-it-yourself Tempest Guard
675 points of Commoraghs finest!

Lord Helmet - "I bet she gives great helmet."

I'd say Guard, just for the individuality and personality you can give them. Also, fielding like 360+ men (all in 6 squads if you want) and 10+ tanks is just cool.

Can you give me a link to this Space Slann army?

If I was you I'd go for something as different from your first army as is possible, the huge contrast makes it feel like your learning to play the whole game again and the variety helps keep painting interesting. Depending on how you run your Dark Eldar I'd say something tough and shooty might be your best bet. Mech IG maybe, lots of tanks joined by just a few veterans in transports? Or you could go for Chaos or any other flavour of Marines, Toughness 4 2-3+ saves in AV14 is about as far away as you can get from DE.

I have had stupid amounts of fun playing my Sisters of Battle. Acts of Faith are just unreliable enough to be undependable, but so potentially devastating that your opponent gets really leery of them. And nothing pisses off an opponent like Celestine. Haven't tred them in 5th, but they were great for fun, fluffy, notalwayscompetitive games in 4th.

Whenever I think about thinning out the ranks of my armies some, they are the ones it would hurt the most to part with, by far.
