Okay gents, the room is booked and the date is set. Odds are this will be the last Platinum Devil hosted here in Canterbury, as I graduate in June, and will thus not only be unable to use University facilities, but may well end up moving somewhere else altogether (Portsmouth/London). There is a slight chance I'll end up taking a masters here in Canterbury, but its quite minute, so for all intents and purposes, this will be the last one!

The date that has been selected is May the 7th and 8th.

Entrance, as ever, is £6, and should be sent to my paypal at Necrofood@hotmail.com along with a note with your username and real name (or you can PM that to me here, either is fine).

Experience so far has shown me that seven games is the ideal amount to warhammer anyone out. Any more is too much, any less isn't good for the scoring. So seven games it will be, the escalation actually worked out pretty well last time. So that will probably be the format again. The plan at the moment is a 500 point game, a 1000 point game, and 2 1250 point games on the Sat, and a 1000 point game, and two 1500 point games on the Sun. I know a few people (such as Killkrazy) have been slowly building their forces up through the Platinum Devils, and this will allow them to culminate their lists at 1500 points.

Now with the help of a few people (such as Ritides and notprop), I'm attempting to put together a Platinum Devil commemoration pack for those who attend, that's optional to buy on top of the ticket. The price at the moment is looking to be £25, and for that you'll get ten Dakka Dice (usually available only to DCMS), a Badge with the Dakka Logo on, Two Black T-shirts with the Dakka Logo on the breast (one a standard T-shirt, one a Polo), and best of all, a handmade Dakka mug! (the kind that have been being selling like hot cakes in the Swapshop of late). I'm aiming to have twelve of these Commemoration Packs available as things stand.

So if you haven't been able to attend a Platinum Devil yet, this will probably be your last chance! I look forward to seeing you all there!

If it is okay to come for just one day, I am in for the Saturday, but I have a match on the Sunday so can't do both.

I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

Okay, so the male version of "Cougar" is now officially "Albatross".

With any luck (it being early May and all), we'll avoid the snow.

And fifty, I would presume it wouldn't be a problem, we usually manage to make the numbers work somehow.

Just out of interest, would you chaps like the prizes to be in Forgeworld once again?

I'm not sure I will be troubling the winner's rostrum with my presence, but yes, by all means Forgeworld

There were 3!

1st place was Forgeworlds Inquisitor Lord Hector Wrex and Retinue
2nd was two megabloks alien spores (for use as Tyranid mycetic spores)
3rd was a Forgeworld Tech Servitor

I find Forgeworld looks and feels nice, and retains its fungible value on ebay if the winner wants to sell it off and get the funds for something else.

OKAY!

I'm only going to be available on the Sunday of this. But, since Fifty is only available on Saturday we thought we'd team up!

We'll be playing exactly the same army - probably a variant of Blood Angels...

Sounds like a plan! If you share points, you'll get a unified score, and can split the prizes if you win any!

I'll probably start advertising it seriously, putting up scenarios, sorting out the packs and collecting monies a month or so behind, like I usually do.

Be interesting to see the same army played by different people (allowing for points variances between games).
