Hi all, I'm Zelekin and i'm starting Eldar in 40k!

My cousin always talked about this game and universe (more of the lore since I did not know the game) and I found it immensely enjoyable. But I never gave it the try it deserved, merely buying and assembling a squad of fire warriors and then leaving them unpainted.

Now, after a few years, a few Ciaphas Cain novels and Dow2:Retribution I've found my interest rekindled.

I recently went to a game store with a friend who does play and I got to watch a few matches and then play a game (A gentleman was willing to let me play his Eldar which my interests had shifted to over the years) which can only be described as "chaperoned" I knew I was hooked. I was taught general strategy and guidelines of army-building and bought a codex and for a steal price, 10 guardians.

So the general story done I just want to say hi, and that this seemed like a very kind and open forum to my lurky habits.

One question I have is: having math hammered into general shapes two lists i'd like to decide between and start working to, where do I post them for critique?

Edit: seems like one of the sections is 40k lists, but i'd still like to know if its appropriate to create a thread just for my lists or if there is an eldar thread et cetera.

Hey
Welcome to Dakka fellow Eldar pllayer
All you need to do is start a new thread in the 40k army lists section (remember you aren't allowed to post the point cost of each upgrade, just the whole unit). If I spot your thread I'll cast my eye over them

Welcome to Dakka! That was pretty generous of that guy from the store to let you play his army. First hand experience is always a nice way to be introduced to 40k, as it is a bit of an investment. Glad to have you with us, like Gorechild said you can post your list in the army list section of the forum, then discuss tactics in the tactic section. Hopefully you can make the most of this forum and it's collection of war gaming genius.
