Hey guys.
I've been lurking since I bought my first box of Boyz last summer, just decided to become a bit more active.
You've already been a ton of help with the painting and modeling articles, as well some ideas on how to build my army up.
I got into
40k through the internet(and it's really the least disgusting thing I've gotten into through the internet, if you know what I mean

. Kidding.) and the Gaunts Ghosts series(I think Black Library is probably the worlds best marketing firm.). I bought Dawn of War

ark Crusade early last spring and after getting the gak knocked out of me playing Chaos and Imperial Guard, I tried out the Orks and found my match, as it were. I guess the pleasant feeling of satisfaction slinging waves of pissed off green lunatics with axes at whatever pissed me off brought me back to the endless hours I spent playing Warcraft on my I-Mac.
So I gathered the courage to embark on a journey into something I knew nothing about and picked up a box of minis, a codex paints, brushes, etc., and about a hundred bucks later, I realized that I might have just gotten in over my head. But between this website and Youtube, I've managed to do a decent job of assembling and painting my boys, although I still managed alot of trial and error(did you guys know you could mix paint and water? It's called thinning, apparently.).
So now all that remains is for me play my first actual game on the tabletop...
