Well, I painted the "I" red and the trim also... Not a huge fan..I like the red I, but the trim looks horrible so I will have to repaint it.

*ugh* and I still have to come up with something for the left shin gaurd.

Have a flur-de-le or whatever it's called, thats what the actual models have on their shins, or leave it blank

Leaving it blank would look wierd I think... I was thinking maybe a fleur...really wish I had another skull to make a matched set...the only web page I can find it on says out of stock :(

You could just go with higher shin armor with the fleur like in http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440305a&prodId=prod1080213

Mismatched knees is common in the artwork. I do not know how that would look in actual use though.

Okay,got the left knee figured out and I like it (yay) so thanks to everyone here for their help!
I'm closing in on completing the armor...3 weeks left to finish...

I agree with Aduro. Perhaps if you turned the fleur-de-lys into a larger kneepad seperate from the greeve, it may improve the look and make them both appear to be part of the same suit of armour.

My opinion is that both symbols look great seperately, but when put side by side the skull is too big and too prominent. A possible solution would be to make the fleur-de-lys stick out more; make it more of a 3d shape, if you know what I mean. I don't think you can do anything to make the skull stick out less without damaging it. (but then you've surprised us all before, so who knows..?)

Edit: Oh, and instead of having the armor to the sides of the fleur curve inward, make them curve outward to reflect the shape of the skull pad.

Very nice indeed, Finn.

BTW, bead shops and such stock quite nice small and large fleur-de-lis made of brass. I used some on my Titan. You may be well aware of thier existence, so apologies in advance. They would look awesome as a hairclip or something(Accessories, Baby!)?? They even have small eyelets, so attached to sleeper earrings or somesuch?
Anyhoo...

And yes , as always, your stuff is amazing. Good luck with progress!

Thanks for the heads up. Yes, I knew they have them, I get a lot of the stuff I use from those kinds of shops. Makes things stand out when you add the kinda detailing.
