Necrons in my 40K universe shoot gauss beams out out their eyes triggered by crossing their arms. GW read my mind when they released this model. The 'guns' are really solar energy collector units randomly distrubed around their forces.

Yeah..I think I am glad to see those gone. I just hope it's not too difficult to update all of my existing rods to match the new style... I can't really tell if it's a painted-over rod or actually textured or what.

Not me. The most exciting Necron rumor I ever heard was that there might be other colors of those rods. But looking at these models, I'd say 40k is going in the same aesthetic direction as WHFB -- more cartoonish, less archetypal. I can see why people would be excited about this direction -- I'm just not one of them. It makes better sense in Fantasy than 40k, IMO.

I though they were just repainted with black and green. Aren't they ?

The rods (green, red, purple, silver, no matter) are for me the thing that differentiate Necron from Terminator (movie) or just any other robots. I hope they're still there.

Looking good to me, not 100% on the space chariot thingy, but I showed the eldest who will be using them, and he loves them.

So thats all that matters, hoping we'll see some of the troops before the weekend is out.

I am still thinking of starting necrons. Hopefully it wont be too expensive to run a 1k army (To start, of course).

Although, I want to see A. An updated Lord and B. The new warriors box before I commit.

Will definitely include a doomsday barge!

now I wonder how many people will cry about this codex? and jump onto its bandwagon? bad players picking up the codex with the thought of "oh they are finally good" uhuhuhuh they have always been good if you can think instead of cry.

are those dethmarks failcast or plastic? They look failcast to me. The two poses on the left look the same. At least making them out of warriors would not be too terribly hard.
