Man, all of this stuff looks pretty awesome...here's hoping the rules for these units are as good...i hate it when cool models are not really worth taking very often in the actual game (Dreadknights, for example...).

All looks pretty cool. Building a second barge variant just by turning it upside down is a bit meh.

It looks like I might be able to magnetize them though so I could use either in a game, that would be nice.

But one variant has the 'hold' full of necrons and the other has a spinal mount type weapon. You might be able to flip the ribs up or down, but the detail might be lacking.

Necron Deathmark Snipers FTW!

I'm gonna be poor in Novemeber, but heck who needs food and gas and electricity when I've got a new army to paint

The Deathmarks look excellent. Best thing we've seen yet IMO.

Also, still hard to judge, but in the Deathmark photo it does look like it's still an actual rod. Still can't determine if those rings are texture or paintjob, but eh...I guess I'm fine either way. I don't really want to replace anymore Necron stuff than I have to...(except Immortals. And Tomb Spyders. Good riddance to both.)

Deathmarks sealed the deal.

Going to have to look into selling some stuff now...

Looks like those Gause cannons look like they do have rods in them.

I'm not liking the new Necrons. They look more like Space Marine poses, rather than their own.

These vehicles and the snipers go totally against the previous aesthetic of the necrons. They're just robot tomb kings now. I hope they drop the war in heaven aspect and the whole thing about them being the most advanced race in the galaxy. Otherwise these models are going to be totally innapropriate.

Also that necron fork lift with the two pilots is idiotic. Why would a robot, piloting a robot car need a special eyepiece so that he could see the touchscreen and trackball that he's using? Why is any of that needed? Who the feth is designing this gak? This release has me totally unimpressed and these models have killed my excitement for the line. These are the most saturday-morning-cartoon-like designs GW has produced since the old DE.

I don't know, but I agree. This is a total left turn for the worst for the Necron army. It used to be a joke about "Space Tomb Kings" but now it's reality.

GW really ballsed it up.

I think they look great. Can't wait to see them in person, and I'm excited for Necrons to actually have a competitive codex.

What do you want? a block that has 14 armor on all sides? if those pilots were not there people would prob be making surfing on croissant jokes.

what if it had no necron models? people would say its boring looking.

You are not free whose liberty is won by the rigour of other, more righteous souls. Your are merely protected. Your freedom is parasitic, you suck the honourable man dry and offer nothing in return. You who have enjoyed freedom, who have done nothing to earn it, your time has come. This time you will stand alone and fight for yourselves. Now you will pay for your freedom in the currency of honest toil and human blood.

Looks good to me. I'm not sure where the drastic left turn from the previous aesthetic is. The arc thing clearly incorporates elements that are similar to parts of the Destroyer and Monolith.

This stuff being leaked on BoW just makes GW look ridiculous though. GW...you have a website. You could have been getting traffic to that site weeks ago by previewing this stuff yourself. It's 2011 and you're using print media as your marketing flagship.

I agree to a large extent. If the Necrons have been retconned sufficiently, it could still work. But with the fluff as is, the new models do not match what has been written.

The one on the right looks meh, but the left looks great. The only good looking thing in the range so far.

But why are they bad looking tomb kings in space? Tomb kings are cool because they are literally mummies. Those things exist. These are cthulu esque multi million year old dimensional gods pretending to be robots now pretending to be mummies in their nile surfing reed boats and holding 90's rob liefield tubeguns.
