Drop Trooper with Demo Charge

Ok. So I havent played an eldar player in YEARS, and I found a guy at my LGS who wants to play against my armored company. I figured for a rough idea I'll bring a vendetta, 2 exterminators, a couple salamanders for fun, demolisher, vanquisher, and a few armored fists with flamers, plasma pistols, meltabombs, and power swords. I'd also "double flamer" the chimeras. Add a couple 5 man melta stormtrooper squads, and sprinkle some regular russes, and disco!
Now my real question is what to expect with these new fangled eldar. I know he likes walkers, and the firedragons. He'll probably bring a couple wave serpents, and he hates rangers. I'm thinking if I can nail the transports, and gnaw on the firedragons, I can pull it off. I'm not used to all that psyker stuff the eldar get. any words of wisdom?
My main strategy is to pop the transports, disable the heavies or walkers, and whittle the troops with plates, exterminators, and bolters. The fists would be more of a defensive platform for my tanks. The salamanders are a distraction, or for a lucky shot or two when he slips the fast transports forward.

Watch out for the Wave Serpents... they can be tricksy.
If you can disable his mech quickly you should win fairly easily.
Otherwise you may need to start burning Tanks and Infantry to keep him away from the important stuff...

You're running an actual Armored Company. I applaud you.
I'll cut to the chase: Bright Lances and Fire Dragons exist exclusively to kill AV14, which you'll be packing in spades. The obvious solution is to simply take less. The Vanquisher and Demolisher won't be useful, seeing as the Eldar don't have heavy tanks or heavy infantry. (If he actually brings a big block of Wraithguard, you can blame me, but that is vastly unlikely and not really game-changing.) Replace them with more mobile units like Vendettas and Salamanders.
You've got a ton of bloat on your infantry squads. Trim your infantry down, and get a proper turret on your Chimeras.
Ace Gunner will need to go on practically every vehicle. Your Vendettas will need it to nullify Energy Fields, and all your Heavy Bolters will tear Warwalkers apart at S6. Hell, even (or especially) Heavy Flamers (if you do keep them on your Chimeras) will demolish AV10 squadrons.

Good points about the lances and dragons. I figured they were up to no good. I had no idea about the shield thing.
I've been trying to increase the average speed of my army for a while. I'ts just the acquiring of the models that's taking so long. I'm on the hunt for more vendettas, plasma and melta guns, and chimeras. I play apocalypse alot and it's desperately needed.
what would you suggest on the infantry for killing eldar? i plan to put the multilaser and heavy bolter on 3 basilisk chassis to make chimeras. i'm gonna turn the guns into emplacements later. if i do that i wont have a salmander though.

Eldar don't require dedicated killing tools like Terminators, or even Space Marines. As I've learned, Armored Fists can't take special weapons in any quantity that matters, so I skip it entirely. I'll put a Heavy Bolter with a ML/HB Chimera when they'll be camping, or a Flamer on a ML/HF Chimera for those that take objectives. That's it.
As your anti-tank assets become unencumbered, you'll find S7 AP4 causes instant death and ignore the armor of most Eldar.
A list of the stuff he's likely to bring would help a bunch, if you haven't already played the match (or especially if you have).

The scariest thing you can face is the Jetseer Council. Its basically an insanely expensive biker gang of a Farseer- and about 7-10 Warlock Buddies. They are Eldar Jetbikes- so incredibly fast, jsj, and able to leap over intervening terrain. And a 3+ save, in addition to their 4++ save for Rune Armor. The farseer will invariably be casting fortune, which gives re rolls on all his saving throws. The biggest thing to watch out for is their weapons. Each is armed with a witchblade. These always wound on a two, and count as s9 vs vehicles. With 3 attacks per model, if they can get a good multi charge on your tanks it could easily be game over. Their speed and crazy durability just make them even more of a headache.
