So I decided to finally join a 40k related forum, and so far am really enjoying it. I'm a 20 year old store manager and have been collecting warhammer since I was 7 years old. My Pride and Joy is my Storm Lords army. I am personally fed up with the ultramrines, templars, blood angels etc from reeaching the front pages. No disrespect they are all great chapters but I prefer to collect less well known chapters, this enables me to create and add fluff to their background and play test rules. This is why I settled with the Storm Lords chapter. Seige experts, and have some talent with bikes, as they are decendants from the White Scars.

Anyway I look forward to speaking with other players and answering any questions regarding anti emplacement tactics. I consider myself an expert at seige tactics and have been playing a strict set of tacitics for the last 5 years. I also love downhill mountain biking and gaming.

I can do either, for the last 15 years I have been working with my best friend an his father to create a huge city complete with walls, streets and 6 story buldings each with fuly accesible floors. With just 3000 points of my Seige Army I took the city back from 7000 points of Renegades and Chaos Marines. On the other end of the spectrum I am very good at defensive play. Although amazingly casualties are higher when defending for some reason. If I had to choose though I would attack every time. My vindicators are amazing!

And yes once I have invested in a camera I shall post some pictures. Every marine has a seige shield, every tank has a siege shield and I am in the process of buying two huge seige drills from FW

That sounds like a truly amazing board.
Have you thought about investing in the 2 Badab War IA books?
There is a siege list in the second one which you might like the look of...

Thankfully I have those to IA books. And am working on building a space marine testudo. Basically the old Roman Formation where a squad of infantry locks shields for maximum protection. I am currently hoping to get a spot at Gamesday 2011 to showcase my long hidden army. But we shall see.

And yes the board is coming along great. Its based loosly on the book Rynn's World. Dreadnaughts come into their own on that map.

Oooh and I am building a seigenaught. A venerable dreadnaught with a huge ball and chain on one arm, and a giant shield on the other.

Pantera. Good choice. However, I really feel that this song would really convey the sense of fear, urgency and despair amongst the defenders better .
