Subject: Space Marine Multiplayer REVEALED! CUSTOMIZER REVEALED!
Played it through. So far it's a 'meh' game. Boxy levels with drab art, everything is brown, there are invisible walls (as I found out with the jump pack), there's no finesse to melee... and the bolter felt really hollow.
And yeah, the Orks don't sound like Orks. I noticed that as I was playing through. There was a point where I said "Oh... that's an Ork speaking? I thought it was my squad mate."
It all feels very stale, and other than the big clunky noises you make as you run around and the satisfying kick of the Stalker there's not much here that I can truly like.
I'll borrow the full game off a friend who buys it.
Its on a forge world, if they made it bright and colorful, that wouldn't really be keeping with the IP would it? I suppose they didn't need to set it on a forgeworld though.
I think the melee has a lot of finesse, as long as you're playing on hard. You really have to be careful when you pull executions, and proper stun timing. Normal and easy you can just lulz through tho.
Well, I wasn't saying military shooter, but look at the tilesets in DoW2.
I mean, they could have potentially set Space Marine in any of those places that they have in DoW2 already. Maybe Space Marine 2, you'll have a ship and get to travel between worlds. I'd love to have a droppod assault and see/hear what it was like from the inside
I recorded myself playing the demo if anyone wants to watch it, I mainly just wanted to test the settings in case I want to make some multiplayer videos in the future.
The question isn't why do I kill. The question is, why I don't kill everybody.

It's STILL more colorful than most FPS games these days.
The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.
If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

I have orded the Elite Armour pack Chaos and imperial
Tali'Zorah: I appreciate what you're doing here, Shepard.
Commander Shepard: Well, I care deeply about the quarian people.
Tali'Zorah: It's good to be back on the Normandy.
Commander Shepard: Let me know if it's too quiet for you to sleep, and I'll find you someplace louder.
Tali'Zorah: Hmm.
Garrus Vakarian: Uh, I was there when you two had your thing, remember? Just get a room and work it out.

I suspect the PC version will eventually get an angry marines mod or texture after release. Console users will probably not get those types of options.

The demo was fun, but I hope there will be more different kinds of enemies. The game kind of reminded me of left 4 dead 2 to be honest lol. Also your team mate's AI SUCKS.
May the the blessings of His Grace the Emperor tumble down upon you like a golden fog. (Only a VERY select few will get this reference. And it's not from 40k. )

How so? Yeah, the survivor AI in L4D 1 and 2 can be best summed up as idiot savants. They're stupid enough to try to heal you when you're at 75+ health but smart enough to one-shot-kill you when you're a special infected 40 feet away hiding in the bushes.

No, I meant it reminded me of L4d2 because of the waves of dumb enemies. The l4d AI actually help you. Half the time the space marines would just stand around and fire off one or two shots. I'll probably get this game anyway though, multiplayer looks fun, and the campaign does too.

Finally got around to pre-ordering, I went with THQ direct even though they're more expensive as I want the Power Sword, plus you get your download link at 00:00 so you can download and play a little early.
I really wish the PC version had dedicated servers though as I'm very much a MP gamer.
The question isn't why do I kill. The question is, why I don't kill everybody.

So, if the multiplayer is still really good even though it will be P2P, are you still going to complain?

Did you just use the words "good" and "P2P" in the same sentence?

If you consider playing with a 200+ ping, host advantage and regular disconnects as "fine" then no wonder you're happy. Personally I prefer to play with 20ms on a dedicated server that's not hosted on some kids ADSL connection while he downloads porn in the background causing lag spikes every 2 minutes.
