Just wondering if anybody knew what the average height of a Necron, say, Warrior? I can't find anything on Lexicanum.

I read one story where an immortal was able to pick up a marine and strangle him, and warriors are only a little shorter. I'd imagine somewhere between a human and a marine then.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

That's shorter than I imagined, after all a marine is only 7' 5". Even though it is uncited deduced from a guess. I don't blame you, I can't find a thing on it.

I believe Marine's in power armour are more like 9' tall, not 7'5". So the 'Cron must be pretty darn tall.

I think Crons average around 8 feet, some of the Overlords are around 10 feet.

This.
Only that i would say the lower forms are 7ft or about, and the immortals/lychguard and higher ranking are 8ft, and lords and overlords around 8 and a half feet to 9 ft.
I also believe that marines are 8ft tall, to help for size deciding.

Models seem to follow this order of warriors ( shortest ) to immortals/snipers to Lychguard/Praetorians ( tallest ). Not sure if that hints on models becoming "to scale" tough. Sadly some older minis are now 'ducking' compared to the new plastics.
Is this importance = taller anywhere in the codex?

It was stated that the lower you were on the Hierarchy, the worse body you got during the Bio-transference. That's why Lychguard and Overlords have tougher bodies, than run of the mill warriors. This includes a lot more than just toughness, with things like speech and other things being included in the better bodies.

The Overlord with the Command Barge is nearly as tall as a Space Marine dreadnought and carries a weapon which is taller than one.

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

They tend to be hunched a lot though. i imagine them to be about 6' in their normal pose but can stretch a lot higher.

To sum it up:
Necrons are of different sizes, from scarabs to tomb stalkers.
The humanoids are in between, with the Warriors the smallest and the praetorians and Overlords the tallest. Warriors are slightly bowed so look smaller than they really are. Don't know the exact height of a Warrior though.

I would say a warrior is 8ft but due to constantly hunched appear 7ft with I mortals at 10ft but appear to be 9ft and Necron lords being 8ft -not including his spine thingy- and the Over lords being 10ft. As per the new units IDK. but all of this is just guessing and I have no fluff to support it, Though it make sense to me.

Someone's done some "true scale" Necron warriors somewhere on the interwebs, where he has them standing upright, not bow-legged and hunched over. They tower over space marines.

Necrons have a terrible stoop really, they much slouch a lot when not flaying people. No wonder they died out if they didn't look after their posture.

Some images that I found for you... hope they help

And as a size comparison... just this is the size of a space marine... so they are really fething tall!

Hope you enjoy em

Wow. I had no idea Necron warriors alone were that tall. Immortals, lychguard and Overlords must be huge.

Well the Necrontyr lead very short, tumour ridden lives. It's quite likely that their new immortal bodies were to be tall, slender, metallic perfection.

Embodying a death they can never experience.

9ft at a push? Marines are 8 ft afterall...

Space marines are 8-9 feel tall - with chapter masters cheating at times (augumenting themselves) at the most 10 feet. These necrons are easoyly 12-15 feel tall, with the largest Necron lord probably standing at the most 18-20 feet.... yikes!

Sigh.

Marines are from 7 to 7 and half feet tall. So necrons are about 8.

Marines are 7 feetish tall.

The picture that has them at 8ft starts at 1 and finishes at 8, which is a 7foot difference.

But with Marines at 7 foot, then an upright standing Necron would be between 8 and 9 feet.
