Hello,
I am half of axelsfolks, my wife and I got into the hobby some time ago, but have little time for gaming as we are now living in a very rural area and have 2 children. We love the hobby side of it all and I am totally into all the fiction/fluff of the 40K universe. We also play Warmachine and I love the world PP has created. I did get a chance to watch the Ultramarines movie, and enjoyed it. That actually rekindled my interest in the 40K universe. I have yet to play any of the 40K video games, but hope that changes soon.
I am posting here because I figured I'd get some friendly responses and it would be a nice place to post my question, which is actually "where to post something"
I have been working on a DIY Space Marine chapter, I have a short piece I've been writing to be their background story... and would like to know where to post it.
Would I be better posting in the forum, or on my personal article... and how does that work exactly?
I'd like to post my fiction, then some info on the army list build and how I might expect to use them... I'd like to get feedback so I can keep working on it all, as it's still a WIP... I have yet to play many games (probably still less than 12 actual games)... and I also still need more than half of the army I have built the list with...
The fictional piece would probably be about a 2-4 page read if printed out... would that be OK in the forum? and where would I post it?
Also, I will be working on a fiction/fluff/backstory for the wife's ORKS soon, and would like to know where to post it once it's ready for other eyes...
Thanks again to all on DAKKADAKKA for making this hobby all the more enjoyable! You guys are my Friendly Local Gaming Group, as I am in the mountains of North Idaho, in a county without a stop light... it's a ways to go to get in a game...LOL unless I count my wife as an opponent...LOL SHHHHHH... don't tell her ........ no, she's beaten me more than not...LOL
Thanks for reading this far, and to anyone who replies
Isaiah

Ummm if you are actually painting a SM chapter then you could probably put it under the P/M Blogs and put a little bit of your fluff or a link to the forces fluff

Welcome to ...Dakka. Looks like you've been here a bit.
To directly answer your questions, your fluff can go in the Dakka Fiction section, or if you have a WIP that you're actively working on, post your miniatures and fluff in the Dakka P&M Blogs. I'm not much into the lapdogs of the Imperium, but it's always great to see new work join Dakka!

Thanks guys, as my writeup is still a rough draft, and I do have some painting/modeling left to sort out, I might post it there first for some feedback, then in the fiction section before I finalise it...
I eventually intend to write a similar writeup, for both our ORKS army, and for the CSM army I have plans for. They will all 3 be fiction short stories, hopefully about 20+ pages each, and I intend to eventually post them, with army list and modeling info/pictures, in my profile article thingy.... first I have to get the other 2 started, and sort out all 3, and then I will have to figure out the article process...
Would people be unkind, if I post a 10 min. fiction/fluff read, in the P/M forum, along with my army list ideas and modeling info/questions?
Oh, one last Q??? Can anyone tell me if a CSM Shaos Lord HQ will be able to ride in a rhino if I give him wings?
Thanks to all who make DakkaDakka so great, you are my FRIENDLY LOCAL GAMING GROUP!
