I think you've won this one. No smelly gamer/annoying kid story is going to beat somebody suffering serious injury.

I didn't post to "win" , but thank you for your comments !
I do pause sometimes and wonder what did happen to him after the ambulance whisked him away as he didn't return to the store as it closed shortly after, moved a few streets over , etc etc

He had some very hairy injuries, glad the store had a very decent medic kit (the owner was ex services and had a decent bag of goodies on him)

Male stripper... sounds good. Somehow I think only my wife would pay me, oh hang on perhaps not. I believe I have to pay her to watch me.

I am a gamer from way back and I have seen everything from stinky gamers to leaking smelly bathrooms. Even a 30ish red head fat man throw a temper tantrum in a Battletech game because the store house rules did not allow him to play his custom 100 ton LAM. Which he threw against the wall shattering the figure and putting a nice hole in the other wall. But what gets me is theives, these guys drive me nuts I have had my whole Chaos terminator squad taken from my large sports bag at a tourney in GamCon once I was so made, got them back after a player pointed out the guy before he left the tourney room. Another time in a gaming store a 10 man plastic assualt squad was taken as I was taking a break in an Appocolips tourney and got the mini's on my own and not called the cops, like they would do anything about $10 of plastic mini's. But to make a long story short I was banned from the store as the store owner thought I was trying to start trouble with a rival store, not true just getting my mini's back my way. Now if I get this right, the other guy commited a crime and I get punished now thats what I call a screw job. I do hate it when stores take a rivalry to the point of making death threats among each other and others as that is bad sportmanship. I think I handled my buisiness in a fair and unviolent way not involving the police, no one went to jail yet gamers threaten my life as well as threatening a 4 on 1 beating if I showed up to the store again. I showed up 2 weeks latter to see if these clowns wanted to make good on their so-called threats..guess what they backed down and never spoke to me again. Hence I don't go to that store anymore as it still keeps to their standards as Regs have all the rights and newbies have no rights. And thats about all I got to say about that....; )

I guess that I haven't really had any bad events. All the people at the store I go to (Westfield Oakridge in south San Jose!) Are really quite awesome and helpful to me as a noob gamer. I have yet to see one do any ridiculously aggressive sales pitching. They ask me the standard 'Do ya have all the pain/primer/brushes you need?"

I'm not sure if that's an exception to the rule, but just wondering if anyone else happens to go to that GW? And if they do, any TFG I should look out for?

I met this one guy who seemed a little off, but he was also a new player. He kept scratching his butt and smelling his hands. I didn't let him touch my models. He kept getting snippy about my drop pods, saying they were lame and stuff. I dunno. I still think they can work. Anyway, I thought that the didn't scatter, but I read that rule wrong. Also, I knew that only half would land on turn 1, but I thought that you get the rest on turn 2. I now know that you have to roll for the rest. But it was my first time with drop pods, and I'm learning.

He kept arguing a lot. Like he knew the rules, like when he tried to say that all of his nids had the "Without numbers" rule. He kept talking to his dice. He said he punished one of them by eating it...I didn't ask how he got it back or which one it was. He did pause everytime he said "Let me roll for scat...ter." *shudder*

Anyway, I told him that I had to go wash my hair and packed my stuff to leave. In my haste to get away from him, I think I left my shrike that I painted. I called and asked the store manager, but he hasn't found it, yet.
Hmm, this sounds familiar...

A couple months back, when I'd just started 40k, I played against a marines player who was running dreadnought swarm. He was drop podding them all in. So I ask him, "Hey, what the hell are you rolling first turn for? Deep striking units come in on the second turn!" He says "No, they have a special rule"

I didn't play marines, so I had no idea how drop pods worked at the time. BUT THAT"S NOT IT! When he was deepstriking, he would never roll for scatter. I asked him why he wasn't rolling for scatter, "Yeah,uh, drop pods have a special rule."

So yeah, naturally I lost the game, on account that it was my second game. It's okay though, I stole his kayvaan shrike model, Bwahahaha. Don't leave your HQ on the floor next time, douchebag!
Well, let´s see what happens now

Kronk, please confront him about the theft. I will buy you a new shrike model if you film it for comedic gold

My wife and her entire purple Trollblood army would agree. People laugh when they hear about it, but tend to stop when she gets it out. I don't inform them beforehand she's has her B.S. degree in art therapy and sculpture and is working on her masters for the same. She spends as much time on each figure as she does for her final projects.

Sounds awesome! Any pics?

She doesn't have any as some aren't all the way finished, but i'll see if i can get some and put them up under my account

So that was that.

Yes. Some couples have separate accounts. it's still ALWAYS a good idea to run large purchases by your spouse/signifigant other (i.e. She Who Must be Obeyed) to make sure there are no pressing necessities elsewhere.

I once donated a whole box of terrain, buildings, walls, tree's and old vehicles to a store for a big tourney comming up. After the turner the store owner threw away all those perfectly made and painted goodies I donated saying there was no room in the store for em. I was real sad I put alot of work into that stuff ::sobs remembering the thought again::

No bad experiences for me. My FLGS manager is a pretty laid back person. I mean he even took an hour long nap while me and my friend were playing a game

How about a distinctly Unfriendly Game Store attending a wargames show? Where the guy on the stand started talking quite loudly to his friends about my wife's Stonewall bag. (Stonewall being a british gay/lesbian charity). He started mocking how "they" complain about discrimination but "bring it upon themselves" and then started pouring disgust upon a local gay pride march that he had seen.

Needless to say we put the stuff down and didn't make any purchases but fortunately found the same stuff cheaper elsewhere - cheers douchbag!

Same guy was at this last weekend's Tourney. In the first round, Saturday, his drop pod scatters off the table so he throws it and it shatters. Game store owners gave him a warning. Yesterday at the semi finals, he blows a dice roll, throws his dice across the room and ragequits. He then packs his stuff and leaves.

At this rate, in a few weeks, he'll be lucky if he can play a kill-team game.. I mean, this guy is either really dumb or has serious anger management issues. Or both.

Coincidentally, one of the long running employees at my flgs in cork city had his Shrike stolen out of the store too.

Is this model cursed or something? lol

I'm painting his second one at the moment and I'm starting to worry it is going to vanish into thin air before I get to deliver it back to him.
