So over the next week i will be playing my first ever apocalypse game and as i am relatively new to the game (only been playing a couple months now) i am wondering what i will need to know outside the BRB, preferably a list of resources if possible. Also i play CSM and have a basic knowledge of formations so if theres is a list somewhere of all the possible formations i would love to know where.

You may also make your own. You will need to have your opponent's permission though, to cancel out any unbalance.

Is that ALL the possible formations? because i find it very odd that there is no mention of Obliterators.

There are also some Forgeworld resources and books for Apoc and some White Dwarf issues with Apoc formations. Nothing all in one place.

You can find a list of all of the APOC formations and data sheets here. This list is on the Bolter and Chainsword forums.

Oh my god, what is that poster above me?

You also need Apoc and Apoc Reloaded. There's a bunch of special rules to make Apoc games function in a timely manner.

    somewhere in the webway

generally speaking apoc uses the same rules as normal 40k except for the following:

super heavys and fliers allowed. these have special additonal rules for each, but in general fliers can only be hit on a 6+ unless you have AA mounted guns (then you hit normally) your -12" to shoot at fliers, and they can pretty much move where they please every turn. they have unlimited movment with a minimum move of 18".

super heavys generally have multiple structure points, wich you have to remove before its destroyed. they can also fire each gun at a seperate target, and repair damage results. things like titans often have void shields or something simaler, and crazy powerful str D (done!) guns.

    some tips:
    - protect your valuable stuff super hevs etc with cheaper troops. the cheap stuff wont do much, but by keeping your big gun alive they pay for themselves.

watch for flank march strategems! if you dont see the oppoents strategems come into play by turn 2 chances are they have flank march (show up on any board edge) this can be a very good way to take out someones unprotected super heavy hugging thier table edge or otherwise "sitting back" usually youll see big tank buster units show up for this, or even enemy super hevs. protect yourself by gaurding your board edge.

if your playing in a multi person game, (more then 1v1) bring something to read/sit on. it can get VERY long in between when you do stuff to when your needed to do something else.

there are no force orgs, or restrictions on models. you can bring all of and anything you have. nids can fight beside marines, necrons and dark eldar if you have a smattering of each. its also the perfect place to try out a new vehicle idea you have. (just show and tell first)

its a good idea to have a plan, or general tactic before hand. for example, i utilize 3 titans in my apoc force. the rest of my army revolves around gaurding them, finishing off what they cant, and defending against air attacks. (wich titans unfortunitly are somewhat vulnerable to) the army also focuses on speed, so everything is taken in transport, can deepstrike, or otherwise move quickly. (even the titans can move 12" a turn, or faster if i need them to) so try to make your force as complimentory to each other as possible. sometimes hard to do, but it pays off.

have a counter tactic. if your aware of what your fighting, and its a scary unit like an enemy titan or baneblade, have a plan to deal with. flank march melta teams, or thunder hammer termies to assault it. bring in fliers to take it down and so on. strategems are also very useful in this regard. personal favirotes include
    - flank march (units show up on any table edge of your choice when they come from reserve)
    - vital objective (secretly pick an existing objective that one is worth more VP if you control it at end of game)
    - not sure of name but its a chaos "altar" or something. gives everything within range an invun save or improves existing ones.
    - replacments (brings back a destroyed unit. great for bringing back a wrecked titan...mua ha ha ha!!)
    - signal jammers? (removes the enemys "5 minute" planning stage before deplyment. they just deploy, and cant communicate under any means.)

there are others as well with varrying utility, including stuff to deal hits to a random super hev on or off the table, things to block LOS, and so on.

of course the goal is fun so do try to squeese SOME from the meat grinder that will take up your day.
