I currently am working on a project to build a warhound titan for my IG army as an apocalypse piece. Do you guys think that it is worth the effort to try and carry though or is my labor best spent in other areas ?

Why are you asking people you don't know if building a Warhound is worth your time?

Only you know if it is or isn't.

Well i was just asking for a general concensis on it , no need to go all phylisopical on it . sometimes people say it's pointless cause i won't be able to use it others say that it's worth it

If it's a scratch build, then no.

If it's a FW item, then yes.

If you don't have the skill to build one scratch built, or just really like the Forge World one, go with theirs.

if you really have to ask the intenet if something is worth your time then you probally already have an answer and are just looking for validation on your choice.

short answer: FW ones are awsome... scratch builds less so, unless your VERY good at it. and usually the cost is close to same anyway when your done. - so get the FW one.

Well considering i'm 14 and i live in America Forge World stuff is out of the question , but i am rather decent at making my own stuff , and making a Titan out of Cardstock and PVC is only going to cost me $20

It's easy to scratchbuild something. It's much harder to actually make it look good. Only the truly exceptional modellers can pull it off. If you think you're one of them, then go for it. Otherwise, save for a FW one. They're no more expensive than a new console or a couple of new games.

Warhounds are awsome.

The bigger question is weather you will be satisfied with a scratch build or not. I've seen some really crummy looking scratch builds that obviously took alot of effort.

I saved up for a FW Warhound. It was worth the wait.

If you will be happy with a scratch build, then go ahead and do it. If not, save up.

I see what you're saying but combination ( in American Dollors not British pounds ) it would cost me around $600 dollors in order to BUY not to mention all of the other equipment

Don't count shipping, its over the Free Shipping mark for FW.

I havn't checked the exchange rates recently, but I think that is a little too much. I got mine for around $450 with 2 weapon arms.

I'd use cardboard for the hull, then plasticard for the trim. I don't think scratch building them could get any easier. Probably 50 bucks for a very nice looking Titan.
