@LT - I'll consider it, I haven't done it before and doing it on such a model like this has me worried I'll muck it up and ruin him.

@EDC - Cheers man!

Update: Bronzes and Blues done, need to finish up the reds, blacks and parchments.

Got to say you are doing brilliantly at keeping your crisp painting at such a large scale, can't be easy.

Gun looking great.

@Cam - You've hit the nail on the head, its not that easy, I am taking my time I'm getting about two hours of painting a night, I think I should get it done by the end of the week.

@Zerg - Thanks man, you and me both, I did a dry fit again today, I'm giddy with excitement

@Azalle - Oooh? I'm always stoked when readers can learn from the way I paint, any chance you could let me know what you learned? perhaps I could do a better guide on it later on.

Update: started on the sword arm!

Looking good Knightley! What are you going to do with the blade?

I too am curious to see what you do with that giant sword blade... apart from sticking it into the enemies of the Imperium of course.

@Gits - Thanks man, its a tough one, check out below for my explanation.

@Mad - I also stick friends of the Imperium depending on who my opponent plays

@Waaazag - Thank you!

@EDC - It's huge, it estimate its about 3 marines tall in length, I've never had anything so big before

@Wolvey - Hopefully your not dissapointed

@Solar - Many thanks, I really like how the bronze came out.

Update: So, I spent about 3 hours last night, I painted the sword three times, and now I'm sick of painting it. The first time I wanted it to match my normal swords with a power stream running through the blade, well there is a problem with that as there are all these cut out and small areas to try and fit it through. It looked like Gak so I repainted it blue, washed and waited. The second time I figured why not try a gradient that goes through the blade, that should work right? Well I tried and it looked like Gak, the gradients got lost in between the holes and the centre of the blade. So I repainted it blue, washed and waited. Finally I went with a similar way as the power pack on his back. This is what it looks like. I'm not repainting this again

Edit: I am very open to suggestions and Ideas for the next sword I do (remember I have one more to paint) so please suggest away

Looks brilliant to me.

I might suggest the negative version, go more toward it is white hot with it going to blue on the cooler edges. Just a thought.

@Gits - Cool, thanks for the vote of confidence

@Cam - That is a good idea, I am seriously considering that for the next sword!

Update: the sword shield half way

@Warboss_Waaazag - Cheers

@Wolvey - I use a wash that was passed down from my Fathers Father to me, it just a purple wash

Update: So I had to post this now, finished the Titan and will do light box pictures soon!

I love him Knightley. He looks superb as I said earlier! The squiggles add that extra touch. You were right about the base too, really tied them both together.

Excellent job, looks the part, and squiggles again make it that next level we are coming to expect here. Great job on keeping it clean and crisp, to match your other gear, really difficult at this scale, especially with the squiggles. Cant wait for the twin set now.

Looking good. I think the sword looks great the little flash of white at the tip helps focus the attention. I didn't consider all the problems the holes would cause but you've done it justice.

@Januine - He forever will be known as the squatting titan wont he? I guess there are worse names to be known by

@Gits - Cheers, but check out the light box pictures!

@Wolvey - I like the name, I wonder what that is in Latin?

@Graven - Thanks bud!

@Cam - Might have to wait a bit of time, I have an assembled box that has been calling my name for a year now, really should answer the call.

@EDC - Thanks for the vote of confidence man, I agree having the holes is a right pain in the butt, It would have been better if it were like the DreadKnight sword

@LT - I managed to squeeze him in there, it wasn't easy, he's absolutely huge!

@Alaricuk - Thank you

Update: well I managed to squeeze him into a light box'esque environment, pics below!
