@tipios : yeah they are....

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/SPACE_MARINE_APOTHECARY_SET.html

And Tzeentch is maybe the next step, actually.... Maybe for a "squad entry" at French GD in october ? That would be motivating ;-)

@ Vitruvian : Thanks ;-)
I think I probably keep the skaven as a side project anyway.... I would like to be able to paint a lot in a "tabletop" standard... But that is the hard part :-(

Yyyyyyyyyyggggggggggs! Welcome back to the land of the unliving. Another vote for Tzeentch!

Also, you missed Adepticon. Be sure and check out the plans for a UK Dakka Detachment.

And, if you're out of everything else to read, I'm building an Ordinatus in 40K scale.

(Also... "Necrons" ?!? Ok, I have to admit it : their new models (and backstory) are rather appealing... and much more characterful than the previous versions !)

Ha ha, sure... It's been long since I last came to Paris... I'll have to think about it, now that my sister is on an internship in Boulogne-Billancourt (IIRC)

Lol, I did keep training even when I was deployed... But I could have lost more since I came home... 9 months without touching a single model is too much !

Hey, thanks ! I built the Twist on a hunch, and it worked pretty good, I agree... I'm also fond of the "additional" cast of the 40th millenium : servitors, henchmen, scribes, adepts, etc... They're some of the most flavourful characters in the 40k background !

I quite agree with you, graven... Sadly. I'm still debating over this model, actually. Since all Tzeentch Marines will be quite dynamic, I'm pondering whether to add a bit of dynamism to the Sorcerer, or further increase the contrast by modelling it as static as possible... And the book was an additional gear I had kept around for such models, so I tried to strap it on !

    Still don't know uh...

My "modelling buddy" did bring my ticket for GD2012 yesterday.... So I'm in !

Thanks for that one, I knew I had to try and add a pink horror head to one of them, but it was quite hard to pull off, due to their large size ! I'm quite happy with the result, I'm glad you like it too !!

    *************************************************************

    Today's update : AIRBRUSH !!!!

I finally got to try the compressor + airbrush combo I had ordered last year, when I was in 'Stan ! With my "modelling buddy", Rama, acting as a technical advisor, I began painting some Incendiaries that were lying forgotten in a wardrobe...

I'm quite pleased with the result, for a start. I'm just disappointed with the white "flecks" that spread all over the model when I did the last highlight on the flames on the Incendiaries' back (see 2nd pic). It kinda spoilt the rest of the models, but I still think it looks promising !

Any help with that : ??

Not too high. Either too low or the tip of your needle is bent. Those are my best guesses.

Needle is brand new, so I guess it was either too high or too low ? Could the water:paint ratio be another factor ?

Anyway, I've spent some time today furthering the highlights on the Incendiaries, almost to a pure white : looks pretty good (from a distance ) !!

And a bit of airbrushing on my Skaven nightrunners... Looks a bit too smooth for Skaven robes, but nice anyway !

I think the flamer is looking really nice once the small details like the teeth and basing is done they will stand out more I think.

The Skaven is really nice, the different tones look just how I think a Skaven should look like.
