Anyone know of any more third-party manufacturers who do female head sets? The only ones I know of are these.. Hasslefree bare heads - my backup plan, though I'm not sure about my sculpting-hair abilities or Chapterhouse - yuk, horrible sculpts So, are there ANY other options??

Brother Vinni is making some really good ones. Have a look at his N&R thread:

Laughing Monk minis has some decent female heads but either their website is on the blink or they dont sell them (or anything else for that matter) anymore. Heres the link anyway. http://www.shadowforge.com.au/monk/index.html

Mmm hello female guardy goodness. Automatically Appended Next Post: Found the laughing monk female heads.

Both American and Russian style available. They may not be the best sculpts around but mixed in with a mess of other guardsmen i don't think you would notice that much.

Thanks guys.
Those Statuesque ones are amazing sculpts, but I can't use the helmets - I'm looking for bare heads with relatively normal hair, which means the Meow Meow ones are probably best at the moment.
Brother Vinnis are lovely, but the respirators rule them out, the laughting monk ones are also great, but have quite a lot of military hats, and the Anime Tactics ones, which are also incredible sculpts, are $3 per head!!
Meow Meow looks like the way forwards...

Hair is actually pretty easy to do I think. I used a Hasslefree head here for my sniper scout sergeant:
and another here for my medic:

Honestly, I'd advise against this. They tend to look way too obviously Elven in comparison to the male Guardsmen.

Thanks for the links, guys... Panic wrote:yeah, Jesus they are all pretty bad! Why can't you use the ones with the masks... they look the best. Panic... It's for a guard army made out of Van Saar models I've been gathering for years. I was wondering what to do with the juves and thought I'd make them into female guard with a bit of GS, arm reposing and head swapping. None of the Van Saar guys have helmets or respirators, so I don't want the girls to. I'm not sure about hair style - I was thinking of giving them a sort of high-tech-Indian flavour, dark skin and black beards. All of the guys are very similar - cropped hair on top and ponytails with the occasional moustache thrown in. I was therefore either thinking of having all the girls with longer ponytails or just short crops. The longer ponytails appeals - make them look a bit like Infinity Haqqislam I could do short crops with the Hasslefree heads but not sure about my sculpting ability for that, but a lot of the other heads available have cropped hairstyles. For long ponytails, only the Anima Tactics ones suit, but I'm not sure about scale and availability - their 32mm-scale heads might be too big for juves? The sculpts I like best out of the above are the Statuesque ones. I contacted the sculptor and he said that they should be releasing a sprue of unhelmeted female heads in January. There's no rush - I won't be doing the army this year - so I guess I'll keep the thread going until then and see what pops up...?

Hi Arbitorian, long time no see? When are you next in Glasgow. Come to think of it, when are you going to update your Arbitor army thread?
Here's some more female heads for you. From Brother Vini.

If you want them to look cool and he least matinence the brother Vinni heads are your best route. Chapter house isn't too bad, but, just need a little touch ups.

you could use these from victoria minis to mask up the van scaar blokes... then the brother vinni heads will work a treat as the do look high tech...
so masks and googles on the VC blokes and brother vinni chick heads on the juves!
Some cool uses of googles/masks both on and off the face...

Very nice Panic. The second sample miniature from Victoria miniatures would make a great Tanith trooper and the other two are pretty darn awesome as well.
