What blue is that on his jet pack? His robes and skull are looking great.

Libby looking amazing, great job, and the highlighting has gone to another level bud.

Chappy is looking great.

Quite like these backpacks.

Yeah, gotta love that jump Chappy.

Chaplains are easily some of the coolest models and concepts in 40k IMHO.

@Wolvey - I believe the colour is Mordian blue for the base followed up by a black wash.

@Cam - You and me both, however on this model he was designed for a bulky jump pack so hes quite far forward in his pose, adding the warp pack does leave him slightly weird to look at.

@EDC - Yeah man, I absolutely love the Chappy in terminator armour, its such a cool sculpt

Update: Model done

@KT - Thank you!

@EDC - Thanks

@Mad - Await no longer!

Great work - that Jump Chaplain has come out very, very nicely. The biker looks good so far, excepting that connection line on the front fairing.

Chaplain looks great - perfect amount of squiggles. A mighty sinister model, and you've done a good job making him surprisingly unique just with the up-facing plasma pistol arm, and custom jump pack.

Excellent work on that Chaplin, I love all the scripture written on his armour, It really helps create a unique character.

@Azazelx - Yeah I messed up, I tried cleaning the mould line before assembling so one edge ended up lower, on top of that I don't have any greenstuff :(

@LDP - It was a pain in the butt to cut the other bolt pistol off and not damage the rest of the arm, stoked it worked

@EDC - Yep a single lonely biker, I have three already done but they don't have any special weapons (more to come) this push has a lonely biker to add to the mix.

@Mad - Cheers!

@hk1x1 - Thank you

Update: Edge highlights on the grey done, white got another coat

You can never have too many squiggles.

I really like the dual tone on his bike and the seat. I never like to give criticism to your work but I dislike the bare head especially with no respirator on a bike.

Fair call on the head, if we were back in time to 2011 I would totally agree with you and have a helmeted head on the model. I like painting faces now and hopefully I can do this one some justice

Update: not much done, got the white a bit brighter and tidied up some of the grey

That's really coming together beautifully Knightley. Love the red and brown in contrast with the grey.

@Gits - Yeah, I always remember hating to paint marine bikes, but this one actually wasn't that bad, its handy as I have 2 Grav bikers, 2 Grav Jet Bikers (my jet bike conversions), an attack bike and a Jet attack bike left to build and paint

@Graven - Cheers mate!

Update: Melta Biker done

The Marine Standing Behind Marneus Calgar

Nicely done.

Painting one or two bikes isn’t that bad, but doing them in larger numbers gets old really quick. Those kits are just sooooo dated, with soft details and questionable lines. Plus the giant seam down the middle.

@Solar - Thank you.

@Mad - Cheers, It's why I decided to show the rear view

@Nev - I can agree there, I plan on only doing a couple on the next marine push to not get burnt out!

Update: Next up is my chapter master on a jetbike (I've been looking forward to doing this one for a long long time

Did you have trouble assembling that model at all? I really had to fight with getting that eagle on the front to fit right. I actually ended up cutting the tail off and gluing it on as a separate piece. It's hard to tell now that it's on there.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

Yeah it was a bit of a nightmare, having to use hot water to get some of the things to fit, I did make the model up over a year ago so some of my memories of the assembly are a bit lacking

Update: Finished up all the blocking in and washes
