Well, Paul has actually been a little more helpful than the others I think, but otherwise it's for absolutely no reason at all. I seriously don't have any leads. I originally started to vote for him because he was being quiet and his name says that he's "Dastardly", and I'm afraid to move from this choice on account of others because they may be scum trying to lead me away from them.

This is really my problem. I've got nothing, as far as guilty suspects go.

Ok, I do this because I feel it would help town, and I also feel that even if I survive today and tonight, I will be lyched tomorrow with no hope of defending myself. I am also losing interest in the game by a small degree, as I am busier than I used to be.

My role in the game is Wolf Scout. I can target players during the night and find out if anyone has targetted them and who. I do not discover the roles of targetters.

I targetted Arctik_Firangi both nights. This was because I felt that he ought to have been killed off quickly, by virtue of him either being too good to not be killed by scum.

The first night, no-one targetted him.

The second night he was targetted by both Fifty and Manchu.

There. Now lynch me if you must. I'll die in the night anyway I expect. I may as well do some good before I go (and prevent you lynching a townie tomorrow (hopefully)). This may rock the scum team's boat a bit too.

Manchu, this was why I wanted to know your role. If you had said you were nothing but a normal wolf, then I would have known that you were scum.

Take from that what you will all.

So, I guess that means that Manchu has some sort of investigate power? Or mayber another wolf guard?

We all know that Fifty was a wolf guard.

I'm not switching my vote to DD, however you spin it.

I should also rephrase, I guess. I can't confirm that DD is a Wolf Scout or that he targeted A_F both nights or about Fifty's roles but I can confirm that he is correct that I targetted A_F last night. I'm still debating on whether I should say more as I did not plan to until later on.

*edit* Further: I guess that does't prove that DD isn't scum. But unless he's just a really lucky guesser, he definitely has a special power.

The golden armored figures sprinted across the marble courtyard, flowing between the pillars like molten metal as they smoothly and silently approached their target. They had been forced to range far ahead of their Wolf allies, but it would be well worth it if they could bring an early end to this conflict. Detonation charges tore apart the beaten bronze doors of the temple and the armored warriors rushed within. All was silent and still in the darkness of the temple, lit only by the flickering candles that lined the pews. Constantin Valdor strode ahead of his men, his pike leveled forward as his eyes searched the gloom. There was no sign of the conclave, no sign of the dark forces they had sensed here, no…

The single gleaming eye seemed to shine with a painfully bright light even though it did nothing to cut through the darkness around it. It shone out of the shadows and regarded Constantin and the rest of the Custodian Guard.

“Magnus, you are under arrest for crimes against The Emperor.” Constantin’s voice was firm and full, and he allowed not one shred of fear to enter it.

Crimes? Under arrest? Me? The voice didn’t seem to so much be heard, but rather the memories of what the voice had said seemed to be forcefully thrust into his mind. Constantin winced, shocked at the ease with which his thoughts were violated. Who are you to judge me?

“I am the Emperor’s Will made manifest. We are his Custodians and-“

You are fools to come before me like this. Almost as foolish as my Father if he believes he can even begin to understand the scope of what I now am. I have surpassed him.

“Be that as it may,” Constantin raised his weapon and behind him the elite fellows he had chosen for this mission fell into battle posture. “We have our orders.”

Do not worry, we all have our parts to play. Perhaps I will allow you to play yours without undue suffering. Perhaps…

Greetings,

Our experiment in extending the Night Phase has caused the night phase to interact with a Sunday - needless to say that is not exactly a valuable and functional day for anyone to gain.

The ambush had been devastating, the reports were still coming in from the confused Battle Guard Leaders. It had been one pitfall after another and no one had even begun to understand the movements of the enemy. Now, as night fell, the Wolves took up uneasy guard and tried to fortify their lines. The battles had been too confusing, too chaotic, they were being pelted from all sides by the surprise appearance of Thousand Son skirmishers and heavy weapons.

"Where are my reports," snarled Harald Ten Chair Breaker as he finished inspecting his unit's defensive postures. "I couldn't tell which way the battle lines were, it was as though we received enemy fire from all directions!"

"Probably you were just too drunk," snickered Tavi Olgafsson. The long red braids in his beard danced lightly as he smiled, though few of his companions seemed able to share in the mirth. Harald tried a thin lipped smile, but knew he didn't feel the humor either.

Suddenly the sound of drums began to echo through the piazza. Harald snarked, feeling the hairs on the back of his neck raise as he readied his bolter and peered over the shattered fortification he and his unit were using as cover. Dozens, no, hundreds of strange, flickering green fires were being lit across the battlefield around them. The drums warbled weirdly, their dissonant echos offending his senses and making his eyes water. He struggled to focus, as he realized there were figures to be seen amongst the fires. Next to him, Tavi, always sharp eyed, let out a low whine of disquiet. Harald frowned at the sound of one of his bravest men acting that way. In a moment, as his eyes cleared, he understood Tavi's reaction.

Dozens of them were strung up, their bodies torn open, their faces frozen in a rictus of pain and fear. They were arrayed upon black iron rods driven through flesh, bone, and ceramite, as though they were little more then macabre scarecrows.

Harald understood now why so little battlefield information had been available.

The Wolf Scouts of his Company were dead.

Groan...

"Not much time to get it right" Thor? I don't know what you guys make of this last remark, but I think this is our last chance before the scum outnumber us, making it three thousand sons facing us.

So, arctic could roleblock at the same time as he shielded someone... And the late Dave reported noone targeted him the first night... And we still had no nightkill first night...

This lends credibility to the theory that the scum could trade in a nightkill for investigaton oppertunities (spelling?).

Though we should forget that Arctic might have been able to shield the one targeted by the scum team.

Oh ing wonderful, not only do we lose Arctick some badass Custodian with a cool power we lose Dave as well. We need to focus our votes on the most obvious looking Scum player. I have a feeling that the two scum players voted for Arctick and that Manchu seems awfuly scum-ey at the present time (having voted for Arctick, withdrawn the vote and re-voted for him).

Wait, I won't deny that it looks bad for me because I led the charge against A_F. But when did I unvote him?

I offered to unvote him if the same number of people voted for Dave. But then Dave offered proof (to me, because I knew he was telling the truth about one thing and it wouldn't make sense to reveal it if he were scum) that he was not likely scum so I said I would not vote for him. My point was to get a lynch, like I have been saying all along. I was getting desperate so I didn't care if it was A_F or Dave because I thought both of them were reasonably suspicious. When Dave came forward, I knew I could no longer switch to him--and I think you'll find that I never did.

After voting for him you stated that you would unvote him if the number of votes on Orkeosaurus fell so Arctik voted for you (unvoting Orkeo).

So there you have it, voting for Arctik, unvoting and then re-voting.

But that's explained on it's face: it was a tactic to keep A_F from creating an early game pile up on Day 2. I had explained at length on Day 1 why we should make the day last as long as possible and it looked like Orkeo was going to get slammed. So I put a vote on A_F to even the odds. Yes, it was a tactic to control the pace--i.e., to slow it down and give us more time. And it worked, despite A_F transferring his vote to me. I voted against VikingScott for the same reason yetserday and then unvoted him when it was late day. Only toward the end did I add my vote against A_F and it was for two reasons: (1) I was suspicious of a lot of details in his posts, especially when compared against what I know about my role and (2) because he was the most likely to be lynched. Of course, his claims to be a special character and some of the points Orkeo made really had me on the fence. Ultimately, I knew that we needed a lynch to stand a chance. That's why I said I'd switch to Dave, before his revelation convinced me that lynching him would be a very bad idea.

I really don't see how any of that makes me scummy.

Fair enough but, the lynch that you saw as 'needed' ended up losing us a special character. I'm generally good at spotting lies on the interweb and A_F's conviction had convinced me that he was in fact telling the truth. It was obvious that he was pulling out all the stops in order to avoid getting himself lynched even going as far to tell us his power. The power he described seemed too genuine (an complicated) to be made up.

I suppose it was your determination to get a lynch, even after A_F had explained his power, that made you seem like scum because, in this case, a No Lynch would have been better for the Town.

It was its very complication that made it seem dishonest to me. I didn't think he ever explained that he could shield while roleblocking. He just said that he could do roleblocking and more. That's one thing that didn't add up, as far as I was concerned.

Made in gb
Sword-Bearing Inquisitorial Crusader

I suppose I was looking at it as someone who is new to this kind of game (generaly being ignorant to many of the powers, given I am a nameless Grey Hunter) I was convinced that A_F was in fact telling the truth as 'roleblocking' seemed like a power that existed and wasn't made up.

I suppose the 'roleblocking and more' was fairly vague. If he had told us the other part of his power, would you have been convinced he was telling the truth?

No, the "and more" part--regardless of what it referred to--was especially suspicious to me. Roleblocking is definitely a power and has been available in past games. Doubling up two powers on one person or having multiple people with the same power (aside from Mason-types) is something I have not seen, however.

With 3 scum still they could all just jump on one target and all it takes is a single townie to make a mistake.

The problem is, I think we're at the end of our rope, evidence wise. What else is there to say?

However, I suppose that I should allow more time for discussion before a choice is made, seeing as I was an advocate for that before, and someone may have information that will come to light in the future.

Thank you.

The only offering to the group I have is to do with roles. As they were all named and ranked (wolf scout, custode.) I believe it likely that Leman Russ and Magnus the Red are both roles. Arhiman was at prospero right? that could be a role too. As the wolf ones have been named I find it likely that it would extend to the 1K sons.
This may seem obvious so sorry if it was to you but it's a thought that crossed my mind.

That is not out of the question, of course, but what whould mean to us right now? That there is a very powerful wolf role and a very powerful scum role?

You mentioned earlier that my vote for arctic was out of the blue, and I can agree with that to some extent. But you have to know, When I updated myself on the thread on the end of last day there were 4 votes for arctic, and little over 90 minutes left until the night phase. I had a simple choice between action or inaction to make, and regretably my decision didn't pay off.
