Miniatures Market in the US is now selling Wargames Atlantic at a slight discount. Everything Lord Marcus has mentioned as currently in release is available, except the Raumjager.

Me likey.

Shoot, that's a lot of bits.

Wonder if they'll get proper fangs, but greenstuff is easy to roll into little cones.

Just two sizes?

But yeah, me likey.

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.

I'm down for a box. I'm sure people will come up with all sorts of crazy uses for them too.

What would be neat is if there was a cocooned body on the sprue, but I'm sure there's all sorts of fun bits on there already.

Now I wish I ordered some halflings along with my most recent purchase.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Between these and RGD gaming's gun toting ants you could have quite some fun backyard battles.

More rounded chelicrae with sharp little fangs would be nicer and I'm not sure about the guns, but they blow most spider miniatures out of the water. There's something adorable about that bionic leg.

Pseudo-arachnids for Starship Troopers.

I saw someone made some nice powered armour not too long ago. Who was that...?

But arranged like araneomorphs or mygalomorphs?

See this:

There's a couple of what look like masks hovering in front of the face. For the sci-fi versions I assume, based on the illustrations. There's another couple of tiny parts in front of them. What are those for, do you think? Extra fangs, or...?

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.

The designer of Frostgrave has written a solo sci-fi game called Operation Last Train. You command a small force of volunteers to land on a Bug-infested planet and try to rescue the civilian survivors. These spiders with the sci-fi bitz would be well suited for the game.

I just discovered a ton of mono-pose GW Cadians I bought and forgot about (about 20 of them). I got them super cheap from a used bin at my FLGS. Which of the sci-fi trooper do you guys think best meshes with the Cadian "feel". Not sure if I'm going to use these guys as Genestealer cult or another IG army. Iether way, getting 3 boxes for an infantry horde.

The Raumsjaeger seem the most like Cadians to me, as they have helmet options with exposed faces and a jacket-under-armor and shoulder pads.

I'd think the Raumjager, but the difference would still be pretty big, with the Raumjager having much more effective looking armour and more compact weapons.
Then again the Cadians could always be conscript/white shields force attached.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
The Raumjager would make great Panzergrenadiers. And with the Cadians being largely mechanised infantry, well I think that'd suit nicely.

I'd vote for Adrian helmets, then kepi blanc on Cadian bodies. If the Cadian equipment is bulkier in appearance than the Raumjager gear, the older look of the Adrian helmet would fit better. Also, the Grognard box has more heads to play with.

Speaking of which, I ordered the grognards at Miniature Market today.

At the end of the month we're coming up on a year of WGA. Checking our planned release schedule notes, we're gonna need more shelves.

Nice, I hadn't thought to try that. The GW book Blood Gorgons describes some regular human servants and guards that are on the Chaos Marine's ship, that looks quite close to what I envisioned.
