Somewhere in the steamy jungles of the south...

I'm working on a long-term CSM commission, and I want to share the pics with you all! Instead of cluttering up this subforum with posts each time I get a new unit done, I'll put 'em all in here. When I've finished this commission I'll have painted all of the models below (and some more!) to my Trooper Level, which is my lowest level. It's basically above-tabletop level.

30 Chaos space marines
10 Raptors
10 Possessed
3 Rhinos
1 Helbrute
1 Heldrake
1 Vindicator
1 Predator
1 Defiler
5 Terminators
1 Maulerfiend/Forgefiend
2 Terminator Lords
1 Daemon Prince
2 Chaos Spawn

So yeah, I'm gonna be busy busy busy!

Here's what I've done so far:

One Rhino:

10 Chaos Space Marines ( I had trouble getting the camera to focus):

I'll be painting up 10 Berzerkers, a Termi lord, and 3 Obliterators next. The Oblits are gonna be a little annoying as they're "Finecast" models, and have some casting defects, that, while fixable, are really annoying.

Let me know what ya'll think!

Definatly not, I think these gents looks great. I'm a sucker for the old fashioned "split-screen-marine"-look. One rarely sees them these days, let alone on Chaos. Kudos to you for a good execution!

I too applaud your use of the blue shades on the topknots; it's a terrific contrast.

The purple is excellent. It's a very distinctive look.

VERY impressive color scheme. Subtle edge highlighting.

My only complaint is that OSHA would not allow chains on the outside of push-to-exit doors. That would trap the passengers inside and is against code.

This appeals to me. It has the right feel to it. Good job and excelent tabletop standard paitning (IMO its tabletop and its not meant to downgrade your painting in anyway. On the contrary, its very well done).

I like how you stay clean and use the light blue as a third complimentary color. Very nice choise for that.

Righto! Finished the 2nd batch!

I gotta say, the Obliterators are really showing their age.

More Marines!

Group shot! They look good together. I'm really looking forward to having all of the models in this army done so I can get a army shot.

The next batch will be all the rest of the tanks and the Forgefiend.

Enjoy!
