I was reading through the pics of the rules for the Custodes, and it almost looks like a few things are actually missing.
Didn't see a definition of the Misericordia rule anywhere.
The jetbikes have a rule allowing them to shoot with each of their weapons, but they only have one gun each (unless you count tossing a grenade), not even the bolt pistol that legion jetbikes get to carry.
The Custodes transport is, honestly, useless without the Assault Vehicle rule. Such a low model count army simply can't afford to jump out of a transport and stand around just holding their for a turn before charging.

"Through the darkness of future past, the magician longs to see.
One chants out between two worlds: Fire, walk with me."
- Twin Peaks
"You listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman." - Twin Peaks

Sorry, but the sisters transport looks like a bloody whale.
Need more pics of it before I'm convinced.

The heavy dread is gorgeous.

I'm also a happy bunny as I managed to snag Ixion Hale off ebay for £50, so only 5 more than event price.

Edit:
The Misericordia rule is on a missing page I'd say.
You can see a right hand page of rules with part of the left.
I'd say it's there.

The Sisters transport looks less like a whale, more like Shai-Hulad.

Some people just have to be the first one in their gaming group to have the book. Bragging rights, and all that.

Haha, I did see that one.
I got screenshots for now so I think I'll wait for the books release.

Really does make me laugh how much some people will pay.
Saw 2 Ixion go for £150 yesterday.

Rule of cool, as with most things in 40k.

The real-world reason is rule-of-cool obviously, though they've actually attempted to give a in-universe explanation.

Partly, it's hard to wear Power armour on top of bionics since there's no black carapace to interact with the suit, partly it's a psychological thing. Showing the enemy that the marines can endure injuries and mutilation and still come back.

Especially the Iron Warriors, yeah. Plus I imagine the bionics are probably as strong as the armour anyway.

OK, pics from another angle didn't help it atall.

We need someone to paint it yellow now :p

I take it there isn't any pics yet of the custodes heavy squad?
Only info for them in book 7 says they carry shoulder mounted weapons.

This is them:

Those fancy "boltguns" are the Adrastus Bolt Caliver, aka a shoulder-stocked heavy bolter with a phaser strapped to it.

Fair enough, going by the fluff they had it pegged as purely shoulder mounted.
Much like the old style marine Devastators.

Either way, I got no complaints.

Waiting to see more of the sisters stuff now.

On the weapons page for it.

Dammit, I already have BA and IW armies, 30k and 40k.... but all that Custodes stuff is just so damn good looking.

That Sisters vehicle kind of reminds me of some Flash Gordon stuff, I kind of dig it in an 80's campy Sci-Fi way.

If those hatches are man sized then this thing is smaller than I thought. I imagined it as a sort of airship.

It's a 12-slot light stealth transport designed to basically roll up to the baddie psyker target, spray autocannon and web rounds everywhere, then have Sisters jump out and drag the baddie inside for unspeakable shenanigans.

Personally I love it. What I'm really waiting to see though is if FW do the hunter unit, I forget the name, that has the cyber-beasties, both because it's a cool concept and because it'd be more fuel on the INQ28 fire.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal
