Rules as written in Escalation seem to say they follow all the normal rules for vehicle movement except that they can't Jink. No mention of Flat Out. But it seems absurd that a "super-heavy" vehicle can move faster than a "heavy" one, which the BRB rules say can't move Flat Out. Is there a FAQ somewhere I'm missing, or can a Baneblade actually keep pace with Predator and leave a Leman Russ in the dust?

Not only can the Baneblade move flat out it can also move a full 12" in the shooting phase (compared to 6" for the LRBT) and still shoot with everything. I'd say this is a lot more relevant than moving flat out, since you're almost never going to want to even consider moving flat out instead of shooting with such a powerful unit.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

My Tesseract Vault uses this to great effect! I also have a malicious feeling of glee when i tell my opponent he has to roll for difficult terrain with his big ass Lord of Skulls to get over that crater to me, while i continue to chew away at him with 6D6 S8 shots

Wait, the (ludicrously named) Lord of Skulls is a super-heavy and don't all super-heavies have "move through cover" by definition?

Move through cover sucks on anything that can move 12 normally.

Is there anything (other than Superheavies) that can move 12" that are slowed by terrain?
Bikes and cavalry aren't slowed by it, nothing else I can think of is.

I'm sure I remember there was something that covered this in a previous edition, but they seem to have overlooked this with Superheavies.

Probably, but to see the look on his face as my tesseract vault annihilates his Lord of War that has 365 points on top of my vault because it cannot summon the will power to grind over a tiny crater is one of those moments to cherish.

Especially if they are boasting about its greatness pre-game.

Lord of skulls moves like a tank not a walker so completely ignores difficult terrain.

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

Not so.
It might have tracks, but it's a Super Heavy Walker.

Also, what's up with the names of not only The Lord of Skulls itself but everything on it? Gorestorm cannon? Daemongore cannon? Ichor cannon? Skull hurler? C'mon, I know this is Kay-OSSS, but there's gotta be a limit. Or did some marketing guy sit down with Khorne at the Table of Skulls in the Conference Room of Bone (y'know, the one next to the Break Room of Blood) and say "look, Khorne baby, all our focus groups show that you have the stupidest name of all the Ruinous Powers so you might as well own that and run with it, make stupid names your thing, amiright?"

They didn't think Apocalypse through very well.

Every time I read that book I find myself a new conondrum I could post in YMDC.

But at this point I've decided to just not bother.
