You really think I 'hi-jacked' the other thread?
First of all, I didn't aim the comment at you specifically!
Second of all, at the beginning of both threads, the OP has stated WHO he would like to comment....in the case of the other thread, those who intend to NOT buy, and in the case of this thread, those who DO intend to buy.
You clearly intend to buy, so why did you comment on the other thread? so you do the maths......I think that counts as "Hi-Jacking".....don't you?

We are all free to comment in any thread we like, regardless of the desires of other posters or thread starters.
As long as all the board rules are followed, there is no problem.
Posting to add nothing to a discussion is just trolling.
Posting to ask questions, or add information is not.
If someone doesn't want to let a thread be hijacked, then the best course of action would be not to acknowledge the derailing attempt.

I have been umm-ing and arr-ing all week, sadly I couldn't resist. Walked into a store a ordered one today (misty eyed memories of playing SH when I should have been revising for school exams). Wasn't impressed that a deposit was only valid for the day of release and non-refundable, so had to pay the full wack as I can't make it into the store on release day (grumble grumble).
Had a quick look in the box as well, not too long becuase I didn't want to ruin the fun on "opening day" (and also the staff guys were doing their best to try to sell it, ahh bless them). (apologies if this has already been stated) Card tiles are a bit thicker than the 2nd ed version. The jigsaw looks like it might be compatible with the 2nd edition version (don't quote me on that though), it is very similar mind, wish I had taken a piece of my old version in to try. Models are nice, the store had them primed, and I would say same scale as normal 40k, again didn't look too long as not to ruin the fun.
On a side note does anyone still have the rules (or know where I could find them) for the "star wars reactor core" style gantry, that came free with a white dwarf on year? I found all my old board sections, however the rules & models etc were recently destroyed in a garage fire

Do we need separtate threads for those buying and Not buying SpaceHulk? I don't think so...
There was no real reason to start two threads? negitive comments can be handled, if you have a negitive comment you'd like to post, post them here if you want. But to have a separtate threads where you can only post positive/negitive comments and no one is 'allowed' to argue against you is pathetic!
As I posted (/ hi-jacked?) in the 'other' thread, a bunch of people sitting in a Anti SpaceHulk CircleJerk is very very sad...
or do we need threads for those Not buying 40k?
for those Not buying Blood Angels?
for those Not buying Imperial Guard?

I think I've restated my argument in both threads (plus some of the others) about 6 times. If people are going to continue to BAAW at us with "But I don't play Tyranids", then there's nothing you or I can do about it.
Don't think GW has had this much attention over a particular boxset in a while either if forums are any indication - each poll I've seen had over half of the users either already buying it or likely will buy.
Helps that I'm going to eventually star a Nid army and that I could split the costs with my SM-playing bro.

I think the argument is more "I don't play tyranids, but if I did, I would be more likely to buy this, cos then I could use those sweet genestealers for two games!" not "I don't play tyranids therefore space hulk sucks!" it just improves the value for money slightly.

I already tried barking up that tree, Boss. It seems simple, but not everyone understands that for many, Space Hulk alone just isn't quite cool/fun/good enough. Perfectly good reason to not buy it if you ask me.

It's a really good game, we ran missions for about 6 hours on Saturday. It's been awhile since I've played the original, but this feels very much like it. Action points per guy, space marine player has a limited amount of time per turn, the blips, the missions...OVERWATCH! it does a good job of putting some stress on the player too, like a real mission should.
It comes with a mission pack with, I want to say 12 scenarios. The miniatures are incredible, seriously. Each marine is individually sculpted and posed and the broodlord will be making his way into my current Tyranid army. The board is what impressed me the most, though. This thing is thick, heavy-duty material; it's probably 2 times thicker than a regular board game is. They also did this really cool pseudo-3d embossing on the board tiles, to make them feel a little more real.

I don't play tyranids but I will after I buy Space Hulk.
I also play Blood Angels, but after I get all those tyranids from Space Hulk I might have to take a break from them and play Tyranids.
So if I'm going to stop playing blood angels, and therefore, have no double use for the Space Hulk Blood Angels, but I start to play Tyranids and make double use out of the tyranids from space hulk, do I need to take into account the fact that I won't be using the blood angels I already have for a while or is that offset by the new tyranids I will be getting?
I just want to be sure I'm getting the most for my 100 bucks so if someone could help me out that would be great.
Thanks(I guess I need to say outright that I'm just kidding)
