If I had money coming out my ass, I'd not bother with GW, but would instead start my own game company and commission my own minis.

I'd probably be panicking and rushing to hospital if I had money coming out my ass.

Dont think that would be wise , i would imagine the hospital director will chain you to the basement and force you
to produce money out of your *** for the rest of your life -_-

What a massively complicated promotion. You sure have to jump through some hoops to get your 'discount'.

While I personally find the reward a nice idea, it's a bit on the late side though. Unless GW is hoping to force people to splurge now.

What magical part of LA do you inhabit? Thanks to Measure R--nice job, voters--we're paying a cool 9.75%. Check your receipts.

I dont understand? All i see is people whining that they want rewards and such from GW, and then when an offer like this comes up, all they do is whine some more? I understand its not a great offer, i dont think any of us were expecting a great one, but for the love of god, quit the whining?

It's good to hash out the merits and de-merits of an incentive program. As someone
stated earlier in the thread, it's best for those of you interested in buying large amounts
of direct only items.

I swear GW must have bi-polar disorder because I always hear of these special things they are doing and then they never finish them.

I'm going to sum this thread up:

GW's "discount" is better than nothing but not as good as can be found through online discount retailers.

And man, no one's mentioned the sweet Legion of the Damned models that were in the same newsletter.

When I created this topic thread I deliberately left out the LotD items mentioned in the newsletter because they already had their own thread.

GW's "What's New Today" now advertises the new Citizen's Reward and there is this advert on the site as well:
"13 Free Shipping Days Left. Order now to Guarantee Delivery! "

It's not a "discount".

It's a free packet of gift certificates, worth 10% of what you spent.

But it's not, If you spend $150 on the buck you get your $15 voucher, but the guy spends a whole extra £100 only gets the same as you. the percentage depends on how much you spend

@Others-Does this new development by GW bring out the troll in all of us? I mean, damn, much of this thread can be summed up in "it's a discount/NO IT'S A BONUS/no, it's a discount/NO IT'S A BONUS BAWWWWWW". Seriously. Damn. Chillax.

yeah,
It's a ok offer if your xmas shopping for other people as you can spend the voucher later on yourself.

the ammount is a bit disappointing though.
£99 = no voucher
£100= £10 voucher approx 9% discount (on total spend)
£199= £10 voucher approx 5% discount (on total spend)

This doesn't have me running to the website with my credit card out!

Panic...

No, the problem is that there are quite a few people that are (maybe rightly) pinged off with GW right now over some of the (maybe justified) things that have done in regards to the online community (again) and there is also a small contingent of valiant GW defenders who are trying to coddle to their manager/get bonus points for their appliacation they just put in. those two groups are mutually antagonistic to each other.

The "future hopefuls" are the ones that amuse me the most, they seem to have never gotten the memo that GW management doesn't like to hire people that spend a lot of time on the internet communities...

Wow Howliing moon, that really sums up the haters, and the Gee Doubleyas perfectly. *hats off for clarification*
Can we call it a discount bonus now? or will the fighting continue into overtime?

So, in reality, its the thought that counts?

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.
