Tanks for the suggestions guys. (Heh he. Pretty punny, right?)

I'm going to get the chimera, and maybe a leman russ because my dad likes the model.

I might pick up a scout biker or two, just because i like the models.

Also, I saw the bits for the iron clad dreadnaught, and am thinking of ordering the sarcophogaus(sp?) fronts to use as a shield.

To get none blurry pic , i think its best to keep the subject at 1 feet away. Because if you noticed the bits in the tool box are very clear o_o

I think that's more because of the lighting then the distance, but I'll give it a try next time I take pics. Thanks Luna!

I tryed to upload some pics last night, but I got an error message. I used another card to try and do it, same thing happened.

Until that problem is fixed, there won't be any photo updates for a while.

I was thinking, though I am making some terrainof my own, they kinda suck. So I went onto the GW website to look at the scenery. And now i am torn.

I was thinking that the Warhammer Fortress would be a nice addition, and could be used as an objective in a game, as well as it just looks cool,
or the imperial sector, which would provide more terrain and allow for more diverse setups.

I figure I'll make alist of pros and cons, depending on which has more will be bought.

The Warhammer Fortress is a large and cool model. IMO, it takes up too much space on the board and is too iconic to Fantasy gaming to be well-suited for 40k.

The new 40k terrain is very nice, as is the WFB Manor / Chapel when built as a generic building.

If I were to build 40k buildings, I'd build from foamcore, using 40k Cities stuff for details.

My father pointed me towards a great site for scenary that you can custimize to your hearts content.
I am now in love with this site.

http://www.hirstarts.com/

Also, my dad gave me an idea. While talking about hive worlds, he mentioned Fritz Lang's Metropolis, and how it is a hive world.
I looked it up, and saw an amazing sight. The Tower of Babel.

Despite that it would be hard to build, I believe that it would make an awesome piece of terrain.

So, I will watch Metropolis, and I will build the Tower! Even if God curses me to never know what anybody is saying, it will be done!!

That picture is pretty much how I see Imperial held worlds.
So much cooler than 'blarg skulls churches blarg' that the Imperium is nowadays.

Anyway, this is awesome! I wish that my dad would do 40k modeling as he used to do it with tanks and planes when he was a kid.

Oh well.

I'll be following this blog! : )

. My cat... my cat... ate... my vox. He is so dead.
Also, I've decided that my bedroom door will remain closed, even when my figures are in the toolbox.
I'm going to tear my room apart looking for the vox, see if maybe he just knocked it behind my desk or something. But if he did eat, oh, there will be high hell to pay.

In other bloggity news, I have glued all the legs to there bases, except for the running ones, and have glued torsos to most of said legs.

I also made two sergeant conversions, I wish my pc hadn't crapped out, otherwise I'd upload some pics.

Toss me a mailing address in PM and I'll send you a bag of voxes, if you need them.
I think I have like...five or six spare, at the very least.

Finished gluing the infantry today. I'm going to work on the heavy weapon squads now. Not sure if I'll use a combo of different ones.

I'm leaning towards using a heavy bolter, autocannon, and mortar.
I figure this gives me a good balance, the mortar for hordes, autocannon for vehicles(unless i'm thinking of a different autocannon), and the heavy bolter takes care of heavy armored troops, iirc.

Course, I need to look at the weapon profile to make sure again.

Autocannons are for light vehicles and heavy armored troops.

I added the armor bits to my sentinel. They aren't pretty, there's excess glue, and I'm pretty sure I fused a few fingers together.
All in all, pretty god days work.

I'm pretty much guarrented to be taking wood tech as an elective next year. You get to build a table if you do well enough in the class. This then gave me an idea.
If I ahd a table of my own, I could make a board. So, my dad went out to compare prices on doors since the house is undergoing some slight renovations, and I asked him to see what the prices were for foam.

I have a few ideas for battlefields in that case.

The FLGS i used to visit had small fold-able tables. But on top are sturdy flocked and painted foams ( pink type ) cut to fit the gaming size.
So its always convenient , easy to move and store!

Yeah, but it will instill some pride in myself to see it. If I'm not in wood tech next year, as lots of people sign up for it, and it all comes down to seniority, I might not get it till senior year.
But, I do have wood down stairs that my dad and I can build a table together if it comes to that.

I expected the replies to the above to go a totally different direction.

But GES is a stand up guy, so I guess it's OK.

Have you tried taking a hairdryer to them Luna? Sometimes it 'shrinkwraps' them on and puts them on smooth...

And sometimes it it turns them into corrugated crap lol

Personally, I hate decals. Even with solvaset, unless you're putting them on flat surfaces, they never go on properly. Shoulderpads are impossible.

I think to go with color or something else for insignia.
