If it works you've got your two main characters - Steve Rogers and Tony Stark. Backing that up you've got Samuel L as Nick Fury, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Ed Norton as Bruce Banner (as he's interested in coming back now). That 5 gets you the movie - Thor can suck all it wants as long as Captain America and Iron Man 2 work. So can Ant Man for that matter. They just get supporting roles.

Is that Cap picture Liefield? He's legendary for crap proportions.

Just saying, but I totally think Nathan Fillion could play Captain America.

Oh I am very much aware. If not Captain America Im sure he can play some other Super Hero other than Captain Hammer. The rumor mill reports he will be playing Captain Hammer gain though.
