I think the big announcement will probably be the gameboard contest winer though it may be about new high elve model sets which they were alluding to lot long ago.

I'm hoping that it's either something to do with Dark Eldar or something about another mystery box.

What I'm expecting is something like the new High Elf models either being available at UK Games Day or showing pictures of them (or something to do with the Lord of the Rings Misty Mountains release).

I just love these threads at times.

The last "Mystery Box" was cracked EARLY indeed!

The whole world knew it was Space Hulk, GW pulled the "Everything you've been told is a lie" crap and then it was revealed as...

...Space Hulk.

So really, at this point, I'm guessing we already know what it is!

Redshirts in a couple of stores are telling me DE is up soon, but no word on whether it is Monday's announcement.

We have black shirts in my FLGS in Stevenage who think it'll be Necrons.

Irrespective of the news there will be a HUGE debate on here why X race or Y faction did not their update because they are more in need.

There will be yet more ridiculous accusations of GW not caring and flame wars will ensue to turn this little piece of paradise to ash.

I have a feeling you may not see them in a GW store again.

Well, one of them has been a GW manager for over 15 years, actively discusses Warmachine with me, has even had discussions about what he himself has bought from EBay, and is still employed!

The annoucement will be that because of all price increases on GW Merchendise, they have used all the money to discover the Warp.

Look it Up on the Lexicanum under M3. "Scientific advances of the third and subsequent millennia bring some knowledge of the warp to humans." Before the year 2100.

If there is any warp to be found surely the minds of GW top brass would be a good place to start looking

Lol. It would be outrageous if it was another price rise they were announcing.

A guy I know who does High end modelling and does some work for the studio occasionally (he made the model of the Weasley's house in the recent Harry Potter film), and so gets the odd tidbit of information from the studio, says that the Dark Eldar book has beeen finished and is in production, and will be announced at games day, and not before. (pinch of salt)

So I'm assuming that this will be the results of the game board contest, or an announcement that there will be an announcement at Games Day.

I always hope for Blood Bowl to be redone and released with a nice board and some mini's.

DE have been in production for months now.

DE are aimed at being the big model show off at UK games day

The only thing in all the DE news was that they had been pushed back by a month... They were slated for an october release for 10/10/10 (which would have been uber cool) but somehow they ended up in novemeber.

I tend to agree with the rumors not pointing to DE being the news. It would take so much wind out of GD that I just cant see them doing it....but this is GW so anything is on the table hehe.

That's usually the end of the conversation for the staff member. As soon as you mention something like that they try to change the discussion.

Other miniature manufacturers are open with their customers and ask them what they want and their honest opinions on their products..not gw....

Because those aren't things that are made or sold by GW?

You're going to a GW shop. They're GW employees.
They're not going to say anything praising or badmouthing the competitors(or at least the professional ones won't).
