I think for me it's mostly the fact that he looks like he's giving you puppy-dog eyes. It makes me curious how much is the model's fault, and how much is the painter's fault.

It does not look as bad, at least, on this model:

If you're *really* curious - for intellectual purposes only, obviously *cough* - there's a website out there that attempts to track all of the old and/or rare GW miniatures that have been released over the years. They've got pics of the pair both with and without bras iirc - unpainted, mind you.

You'll need to run down the site address on your own, though (and I actually do encourage a visit to look at what GW's produced over the years). It's been quite a while since I was last there.

She is an SOB, you can see the Fleur de Lil tattoo on her arm, and the extra spike she's about to speak Vect with.

It's a shame that since these are about the only sexy models GW has ever made (unless you have a weird skull bra fetish) you see them a lot.

Bronze Age makes some others in the slave Leia/John Carter of Mars style.

Hey, now, I kinda like the old dreads! Yeah, they're a bit silly, but they've got a lot more character than the stubby-legged boxes that the marines use now!

I've still got one of the old quad-bolter dreads, albeit in pieces. It'd been assembled at one point and base-coated in blue-grey, but then it was set aside and eventually most of the joints came unglued. One of these days, when I do my Space Wolf army (which should be any decade now...), I'm going to put it back together again and put it on the game table just to watch my opponent do a double-take and ask "What the Hell is THAT!?"

I think Lemartes has to go down as one of the all time weakest sculpts. His crozius looks like it was made from a space marine back banner, and his helmet makes him look like some kind of evil sunflower head. :/

I decided to go ahead and locate the site myself. After a little searching, I found it again. Link is here - http://www.collecting-citadel-miniatures.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

That's the front page. If you want to locate specific models, you'll have to do that on your own.

Unfortunately, not everything listed in there has a picture associated with it. That's hardly surprising considering the number of limited release and unreleased figures in the galleries. As a result, it sometimes means that an entry might have an interesting or amusing name, but you're left with no idea what the miniature looks like. As someone with a WHFB Dark Elf army (though I haven't played in a while), I'm curious about the "bath time hag"... but there's no picture for her or her attendents.

(I'm guessing that the original idea was that you could have her bathe in your Cauldron of Blood)

Produced within the studio and not released in any fashion. There are not many, but some have gone into the market, I recall a couple selling for nearly $200 on eBay which shows what some people will pay for a couple of tiny nipples.

In a similar vein there are also topless Witch Elves...

It's not so much people paying for the nipples, as people being prepared to pay exorbitant amounts for unreleased models. Any of the studio-only unreleased models that have found their way onto eBay over the years have gone for big money. People pay for the novelty of having something that almost nobody else is going to have...

I do look at the unreleased stuff fairly regularly, but these went for an unusually high amount even for unreleased miniatures. Unreleased squats sell for a lot, and these were more than those.
