so a litle update but not of my sterns.. Moonshine mentioned ha wanted to see some pics of the entire army.. so if he's still intrested: here it is
not really huge but they get the job done most of the time.. i devide my army into wings.. (stolen from dark angels )
heavy support wing is actually the biggest one withe 3 dev squads and the land raider but i also have a big assault wing w assault squad, bike squad and a speeder not too much elites: 2 dreads and 9 termis + 5 sterns
troops: 2 tac squads and 2 scout squads and a rihno
hq: captain wich i mostly field as a chaplain (really good killcombo w termies w lC )

and my scratchbuilt MOTF or techmarine i have never ever fielded poor fella he got all his weps and gears except for the servo arms epic fail i couldn't find anything to represent them so na wat the heck..

so here it is my SM Task force named "Sons of Guilliman" (not Ultramarines) shown on their home world (desert world)

Have been thinking on some Fluff don't laugh..

Guilliman created a secret chapter when he swas stationed in the fortress of maccrage and only he and his most thrusted servants knew about the project.. he made them because Guilliman had a vision of the future and he saw the high need of an extraordinary fighting force.. so he created his own Space marines.. what difernces them from other chapter is then can never ever turn to chaos their gene seed is programmed to destroys itself from the moment i starts mutating.. they have a higher muscle growth than other chapters witch make them harder to kill but limits their agility in close combat.. when creating his own superwarriors Guilliman knew, when falls his work would fal with him or the adeptus astartes will disband his chapter and its units will be stationed in other chapters.. and the Scions of Guilliman are made to fight togheter brother next to brother, shoulder to shoulder, loyal to the emperor.. their moto is "Fight togheter, or die togheter" top priority of thier training was that they would never leave a battle-brother behind even when he was dead.. Roboute didn't want to make his warriors do be divided and fight under other chapters banners.. so he did something extraordinary.. something never done before.. he spoke whit his most loyal librarians about it.. and with combined efforts they created a gate into the Warp wich turned many of his librarians to madness and heressy, but there were still enough left to keep under control.. they created somekind of vacuum bubble in the warp and the planet of Dethos was sucked into the vacuum. The planet Dethos contained 2 fortresses of the Scions Guilliman chapter. Inside the fortres on the Nort pole of the planet were the chapters troops,the battle brothers. Along with chapter serfs, apothecary, techpriests, 2 captains, a couple thunderhawks and a huge geneseed bank.. The battle-brothers wer kept in a stasis field similar to the golden throne of the God-Emperor himself ! ! in wich they could stay for all eternity if necessary.. the fortress on the South Pole was an Armoured vehicle storage.. There could everything be found and even unknown weapon technologies.. the Scions of Guilliman could find anything they needed and wanted inside the second fortress.. the planet of dethos was a desert strewn planet.. but what Guilliman and his brothers didn't knew was there was something else on the planet except of the two fortresses.. way below planet surface something stirred in the dark caves and tombs.. (No tyranid this time..)
Not so long ago the Fortresses of dethos started to send signals into the cold and dark void of outer space.. Those signals were picked by a Ultramarines convoy returning to Macragge.. they investigated but they couldn't find wher it came from.. just as they wer about to leave the site space around them started to shine and glitter, weird sounds and voices could be heared inside everyones heads.. vox comunication was completly shut down and the starcompass turned loose.. astropathic contact was declared forbidden after the death of an astropath who was trying to make contact to the nearest stellar system.. they were locked in a rift of the warp... after a few days it suddenly stopped.. and thye found a way back into reallity.. but right behind them.. in their wake.. followed a planet.. The Planet Of Dethos.. all the convoy was happy to notice only seconds wer gone in real time when they were in warp space.. and they had found an undiscoverd planet and their scanners said it was demonfree.. (deu to the bubble of psychic energy) but the warp did not only waked up the planet.. it also waked p the horrible and inhuman creatures under the surface.. The Scions of Guilliman are now trying to vanish the curse on their planet for th emoment the fight goes well for the space marines.. let's hope it reamains that way... Plan B is already in progress in case it does not go well for the Space mariens they started to colonize neighbouring desert systems and are building factories and training grounds for new recruits..

Apart from that the fluff is pretty good, the thing is, I don't think guiman kept secrets.

i don't get the joke or whatever..

Like the story, only thing I can say is, necron planets or death worlds, normally hold buildings, machines or even protective charms against the warp.

- as somewhere is declared why the planet cadia is able to hold up against chaos is because there are necron structures there who greatly decrease the power of the warp.-

Only comment I have :p Dethos couldn't actually move into the warp as necron technollogy would sense and protect the planet against such stuff XD

Unless you declare the field Guilliman created was so powerful that the planet didn't feel like going into the warp

Anywayyy the machines of dethos are eager to fight once more! Even though the necrons aren't powerful now :p (but you enjoy your time mate! this year, I hope, the necrons will receive their codex!!)

hmmm I just read it again and a secret chapter dosn't sound like somthing guilman would do. it definatly sounds more like somthing another primarch would do (like jhonson, corax). It also sounds like somthing a radical inquisitor would do. no offence but guilman is to level headed to do somthing like that. maybe if you renamed them and say a diffrent primarch did it (sorry if this discouraged, i don't mean to put you down or anything) keep working on it though

Not neccessarily, it could have been done to mask his feeling of guild for not bieng able to fight at the emporer's side during the HH. Gulliman could have written the codex astartes and ordered the forced second foundings in order to mask this so all of the other chapters would not feel betrayed by his creation of such a force.

Really cool minis dude, Am an Ultra's collector so nice to see one of ours! In regards to your Fluff, there was a Rogue trader articlle on creating your own chapter, and am afraid that you have commited a sin by saying the primarch created a secret chapter.
It's just not thought of as a possibility. At the time the primarchs controlled legions not chapterrs, you can say that a certain band were created into your chapter but the making one on the side is almost as bad as claiming them to be 2nd founding.!!!

The problem with guilman is he was not as emotional as the other primarchs in the first heretic he just stands sround watching malcador get punched and he was on a campaighn for seven years after the heresy if he did feel guilt he would feel better after re-uniting the imperium

If guilliman is that difficult to be the creator of this chapter, why not make the emporor the inspirer! He still lives in the warp, and as the planet went warp bound and some former ultramarines were stuck on it (now changing your fluff story tottally) they found the emporor, he came and took the opportunity of manifesting a new chapter, 'The sons of hope' as the marines were now blessed and protected by the psychic manifestation of the emporor itself, they are a chapter of completaly new bounds. Yet they hide their power under their dark blue coulored armour, and yet show it with white accents. They are also not chained to the will of terra as the emporor itself guides them. No authority but the found connection with the emporor itself can command them. Their first Holy quest, purge their new Home planet of the Necrons. Dethos needs to eb cleansed in the 41st Millenium.

@RutgerMan - Hmm I think Joan of Arc tried that once. Not bound by the rule of an early King but governed by a higher power. As I recall it didn't end to well for her

Ah crap sorry bro totally missed your question. A Scion is a descendant of a notable family, an off-shoot or branch from something larger.

ok so after some fluff discussions i thought it wouldn't be bad to go back to the thread

so i managed (how, i just don't know) but i managed to get a 100% solid white colour on the helmet
i don't dare to paint the laurel just in case i mess it up i alos highlighted his armour and finished his base..
so he's almost done...

Best thing to do would be to spray a spare piece of sprue white and practice laurels on that.

not that i can't do them.. btw i practice them on a pice of cardboard before i start painting.. but there is alway a little chance of messing it up.. no matter how good you are.. so.. i'm going to keep him this way for the time being
