I didn't say you were a friend of his. I said he has a friend -who also has a few cronies of his own- who I wouldn't put it past to do something like this.

I think there aren't real pictures because the person running it is a middle man, NOT the person with the prizes. As some are stores giving away your choice of item, what would they take a picture of?

Thank you again Platuan4th. Not just stores from what it seems but people as well. I think thats the best way to put it anyways, hes simply a middleman. I assume the stores doing it are doing it for advertising or some such.

Simplest bet would be to click on "my subscribed threads" and click on the "unsubscribe" button next to this thread... then at least you will never have to see it on your subscribed thread list again

Matt HAS been in constant (more or less) contact with me over the 2 1/2 year period that these commissions have stretched out to.

My major issue is that I have been more than patient and supportive of Matt over his entire ordeal.

He's back doing something that appears to be good, poisitive, helpful, etc.

That is laudable.

What is still annoying me is that I have already paid him for commission work, and he's got that money and all my models, and I still can't get them shipped to me.

It is very frustrating and sad, and in all seriousness has almost killed my ambition and desire to even play 40K anymore.

I cannot recover from a $1100+ hit to my hobby collection (cost of commission work and value of models).

Would it be worth simply going over to his house and picking the stuff up? (I know America is quite big, but still...).

A lot of the problem here may just be bad luck on the OP's part. If that's the case, welcome to dakka, sorry he jumped into the deep end, but quit defending this guy, he doesn't deserve it.

I can certainly understand the vitriol people are throwing around.

-Generally, when someones first post to a board is advertising something for someone else, they have a connection to 'someone else'. It's much more likely that a new poster asks a rules question, posts an army list, etc.

-When someone vigorously defends 'someone else', and swears they aren't them, doesn't know them, isn't connected..they are.

-Most people would have read the other threads about RSO and quit defending the guy.

-Scammers who suddenly turn over a new leaf, are generally running a new scam.

-Too good to be true, usually is.

-If RSO truly was trying to 'give something back/foreward', he should have started with the people he screwed. He's obviously not sorry, and isn't fixing things, so this is just a new sort of scam or business venture, not altruism.
