I have decided to post some of the fluff that I use both in my dark heresy campaign and to my miniatures (as they often overlap).

I will be updating with more, that will be anything from small stories to army list testers, and I thought you should be able to get a view of it as well.

Anyways, always feel free to throw in a comment or some critique.

To start of I got two reports written by a Sister of Battle to the Arch-Cardinal of the Calixis Sector, explaining who these heretics are.

Report on Asaid Virenus

Report on Magos Vathek

Hopefully I will end up on making around thirty of these reports.
If there is any one of you who would like to use the same "sketch" then shout and I will put it up here and explain the settings.

So this is how he looks now:

I'm really close to repaint all of the fenris grey and give it another try on battle damage and on the highlights.
I'm not in anyway satisfied with him.

Else he just needs a touch up on the black wolf mark, the decal and some snow on the base.

Can't decide if I should repaint the blue, please help.
What do you think?

I really need some help and advise to finish him.

Nice attempt at battle damage. The shine in the picture makes it harder to see, but it doesn't look bad at all. As a suggestion, maybe make it more realistic by adding some black ink to the top of the scratches and a highlight to the paint at the bottom of them.

Thanks for the nice comments.

I have started repainting him.
He is all fenris grey again. Soon will highlights with first shadow grey and then space wolf grey come.
Then some battle damage, first black then with boltgun.
Finally a devlan mud wash and a few touch-ups.

Should improve him.

Last night I compared them to each other, and it isn't half bad.
They are somewhat thin, but with some greensuff and some cutting I think, that I can make something awesome out of this.
They are of course big, but so is GW's weapons.

And they are of course a lot cheaper than the heavy weapon set.

@dsteingass: Yea, I think they are going to be fun.

Soo I got a package today:

It was a very nice package:

This will kick start my Sons of Sek again!

Also, I promised Viktor to take some pictures of the 1/35 scale weapons to compare with 40k, and here they are:

reading this as you are offline i expect you to make the most of these very neat materials atm^^

thank your for these very detailed and informative shots... and you even thought ahead and placed a lasgun for comparrision too! that is very kind of you sir!^^

what buggers me a a bit is that there ARE very good weapons on the sprue but you only ever get one of each...only exception of the rule is the MP40, which is twice there... the browning or the MG§ is only once there and i see in these the topmost potential for your work!!! the STG44 also is a good choice for future conversions...the rest...all those rifles will need some bulking up for being a good use to your cause...

seing the new suply drop of yours...i am now really looking forward to your new update mate! you have some very tasty kits to convert the heck out of these^^

good luck and have fun with these!

cheers, vik

My foresight classes have paid off.

There are two of each sprue in a pack..! Tadaaa!

Also you can do as me and go out and buy this: http://www.coolminiornot.com/shop/instant-mold.html and use some greenstuff to make your own copies.

EDIT: Forgot to tell that I'm out of superglue, and only have pva glue left so not much sticking parts together tonight.

ohoh... superglue shortage.... scourge of the hobby world...we all had to endure that one time or the other.... it´s like christams and getting your favorite radio controlled car and with no batteries included...and the shops open up not before after the holidays.... that IS pure terror!!!

have you worked with instant mold? does it really work? i know they always say it does but...well really? i know anvilindustries even sell a cheaper variant on ebay... so...i have long eyed with that idea....

I haven't used it my self yet, but I have internet friends who have used it with success already.

I don't expect it to work wonders (as the video can show), but you can get a very good result if you have patience and are willing to try.

if you have any plastic card tubes i would change the barrel and possibly the clip of the MP40...looks a bit too small there... the rest is looking very cool!

The grease gun doesn't work for me, it's too puny for a cadian nutcracker.

If you put a Las-flash supressor on the barrel...give it that oversized 40k feeling, I think maybe the Grease Gun would work. But as-is Big B is right.

Okay, all of you merry folks I hear ya!
Saving the grease gun for maybe a needle pistol.

I have yellow-tacked the commander (maybe count as Straken) and glued one of the flamers.

So now they are four out of eight:

Any opinions?

PS. I must be the slowest person ever!

are adjustments of the flamer still possible? i think the grenade hand looks better if turned just a tad...

the commander looks ace...where did you get that torso? these curved lines look very ornamental... havent seen that before...and also the powerfist looks very detailed...all from the SM scout kit? i din´t knew???

Yea, everything is possible.
What way would you have me turn it? Up or down?

The plasma pistol, powerfist, the hand holding the flamer and the body are all from the space wolves pack set.

ah spacewolves... one day i have to get me that kit too...

the grenade wielding and i would turn so that it looks a bit less as if he would strain his wrist... difficult to say...tried it to fix it via gimp but it didn´t look good... we need to develop 3d pics soon^^

Very nice kit, filled with lots of plasma.

Want me to move the whole arm or just twist the hand?
Should the grenade be higher or lower?
