Been a little while.

Added a couple of new world eaters to the crew.

Resurrecting my skalathrax blog.

My world eaters have fallen by the wayside. The last entry here of the primus Medicae being the last one I painted.

My emperor's children however have blossomed into quite the imposing group in my display cabinet.

Here are a few entries from the last year or so of painting.

Fabius was a model I started almost 2 years ago, and he languished in a box with a few base layers on for ages until I pulled my fingers out, and once I got into the painting he became very enjoyable to paint.

The second is my version of a heresy era Lucius, inspired heavily by a guy called raptorimperialis on Instagram.

And a few more.

And one that's been work in progress for an annoyingly long time now.

Superb! Your freehand skills are as impeccable as the rest of your painting skills. Kudos!

Some really breath-taking work you have here. The Lucius model in particular has that real Slaanesh sort of horror about him.

Excellent painting & conversions, are we going to see an incarnation of Kharn running around with a flamer??

I wanted to catch him just after isstvan v, where Fulgrim has given him the laer blade, and he's begun to scar his face but it's not cross crossed yet, and the corruption has started to begin. I chose the screaming face shoulder panel to go ve a nod to what his armour would later become.

Haha, probably not, I'm not going for a literal skalathrax theme, it was more a way of combining my love for WE and EC as I worked between them.

Thanks! I supersaturate the colours using artists inks instead of water to thin the paints. You can use contrast paints or washes to do the same thing.

That's a clever technique, I may have to try that out!
