Stalkers are not bad by any means. The cheapness of the unit on an AA platform is nice.

However, you should definitely take a MM on your land raider, so you would need to drop one combi-flamer to get the stalker in.

Since it doesnt have interceptor, you need to keep it hidden or in reserve at the start of the game (unless your opponent has skimmers you can shoot at. The 48" range lets you stay back as far as possible so that the incoming flyers cant just shoot it first.

Also remember, if you do get shaken or stunned, always utilize your split shot since your only hitting on 6's anyway. Might as well toss out twice the shots.

I guess 75 points isn't much to "waste" if the enemy doesn't bring air (and some people don't, even in 7th), but -- not being a Space Marine player -- I've gotta ask, if the enemy does NOT bring aircraft or skimmers, what do you do with the Stalker?

Well, if you check out Sister Sydney's homebrew/expansion rules, you'll find all kinds of units the Sisters could have, that fit with the theme of the Sisters (as a tabletop army) perfectly well, and are damn-near-perfectly balanced.

I’m updating that fandex now & I’m eager for feedback on new home-brew units for the Sisters: Sororitas Bikers, infiltrators & Novices, tanks, flyers, characters, superheavies, Frateris Militia, and now Confessors and Battle Conclave characters

i dont know if it appeals to you or if you have one, but how about a Stormraven? it could do the job of transporting ur killy assault marines instead of the LRR and take care of AA. And with the 40 points you save and the 75 you already have you can even take a Stormtalon to escort it.

If you fight someone with no Flyers, no Skimmers and no FMCs (which is unlikely) it still has modest light tank firepower and can block LOS with AV12.

Yah but it doesnt have interceptor meaning that if ur opponent doesnt have flyers then you can only snap fire it, right?

Skyfire applies to Skimmers and FMCs as well as flyers. Those are three unit categories that are fairly common.

Plus, as I recall, the probabilities work out so that, if there are absolutely no other targets, a Stalker snap firing ends up doing exactly the same amount of damage as a naked Predator, for the same price. Not that anyone would actually take a naked Predator, but it's something, I guess?

Yeah it's basically the same as a normal autocannon. Not bad for snap firing.

as a da player building a list with 75pts to spare for a doubles tourney my options are few. It's either a bare pred or a lasback. In a game of who sucks more ill take a pred over the back anyday.

A speeder doesn't have a place in my army and a second libby would be isolated and merely a method to get a third power dice. Techmarine has the same problem as libby. So av13 autocannon turret it is. At least he wont get one shotted by lootas.

DA army: 3500pts,
admech army: 600pts
ravenguard: 565 pts

it's a good idea except with him running the drop pod list he'd need to start the termies outside of the SR or get tabled turn one

IIRC you need to have models on the table at the end of the game turn not any particular player turn, so with two drop pods comming in turn 1 you'll have models on the table and you won't get tabled unless of course you go first and your stuff gets killed immediatly.
