I wanted to show some pictures of my current WIP, a unique tyranid biotitan called a Kestelvore. It's something I've been fiddling with the rules of and finally decided to make a model for. My friend won't mind playing against it and hopefully it'll make our apoc games even more interesting.Sorry for the picture quality, I'll get some better ones as the project progresses
The entire piece is made of sculpey, an polymer clay that hardens when baked over a framework of wire and tinpoil














as the models gets closer to completion, I'll be madding more nids bits like claws and spines for greater detail

I am genuinely curious to see how this turns out. Very ambitious!

this is just a minor update, not sure how much work I'll be able to get done in the coming months but I'd like to have it finished by the summer


the back legs have armor, spikes and some muscle on. For the rest of the leg detail I'll be waiting until I get more greenstuff. The head is finished in terms of rough detail, but it needs greenstuff detailing the most. If anyone has advice for making needle teeth, i'm listening


the last of the body's armor plate is also on, as are the pins for the stacks






front arms are also almost done apart from green stuffing holes in the hives

after thinking about it, I decided to forgo the back cannon. Instead, I'll be designing an incubation sac for underneath the main body. It'll be magnetized on and the middle two arms will be supporting it, as if ready to tear it open and release whats inside on a moments notice. So that means sculpting a second set of arms as well, for when the sac is removed and the arms need to look like something else, haven't decided what yet

Aaaaaaah that thing is frickin' scary-looking. I think I'd have to roll Ld for Fear if I were playing against it... .so, mission accomplished? Exalted, at any rate.

This is very well done but hoe would it shoot its titanic weapons?
