Those videos were very good, I really enjoyed hearing the sounds and music that will actually be featured in the game. And it all again looks very promising.
I'm seeing two part 1s and a part 3... i'm going to assume there's a part 2 that was missed out?
Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

"You need not fear us, unless you are a dark heart, a vile one who preys on the innocent; I promise, you can’t hide forever in the empty darkness, for we will hunt you down like the animals you are, and pull you into the very bowels of hell." Iron - Within Temptation
Huh, weird. My FF isnt showing up linked Youtube videos now. How inconvenient, found them anyways ans watching now. I always find E3 dev talk interesting but also distracting at times. Good to see some footage
Calling it now. Game of the year and RPG of the year at least on PC. This looks miles better than anything Bethesda has done yet and the rest of TES and Fallout 3 are exceptional.
Edit: Mayhap Mass Effect 3 was pushed to 2012 in order to dominate awards due to lack of competition?

Ehhh IDK, it IS Beth. They dont exactly in my mind make the "best" rpgs (well....ever since morrowind mind you!). They're solid for fun and sandboxing (and modding!) but I think other companies make more exceptional games.
It'll have a GOTY though probably, almost all super mega hype titles do even if hardcore fans disagree
That being said, I already pre ordered my copy back in august
I think most of us where waiting to see what was in the CE, when it turned out to be 'nice' but nothing crucial for in game, we jumped onto normal preorders.

Heh....nah I predorder because of this! These days, I either pre order because of Hats or just wait for the inevitable Steam Sale (which is why I still havent bought Space Marine or SSFIVAE)
Ah missed that bit in your post Kenshin, thought he was making a general comment, as a few of us where waiting around for the CE, and although nice, wasn't 'fething how much' nice, and moved onto normal preorders.

Future Publishing (a big magazine publisher in the UK) had a very nice cross over of previews this month. Four journalists from four different Games mags.. Official Xbox 360, Official PS3, Edge (a sort of more refined, we're for gamer vets type multiformat mag) and PC Gamer went to test the game.
They had three hours to play, and all four had a different tale to tell at the end of the three hours. It's too much info to replicate at the mo, will try and get a few snippets up later for our international cousins, but from the reads out of two of the four mags, PC Gamer, and Official Xbox, I am well and truly stoked for this game now.
Not that I wasn't already.

*Slarg Sneakily Snakes his way into the Skyrim Thread, leaving this Scroll on the Stone Cold Stand*
Spoiler:
The official achievement list for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has been released online and contains the usual suspects.
There are 50 achievements for 1000 Gamerscore with the most time consuming of them being getting your character to level 50. You can check out the list below but be careful of spoilers
Some of those really grab my interest, namely these:
Taking Sides - We can join the army now? Awesome!
Married - Maybe a bit more depth added here, and with Radiant Story, maybe a bit less linear too. All we have to base in-game marriage off of thus far is Fable unfortunately, but i'm sure Bethesda have done a lot better than Lion "Half-Arsed" Head.
Artificer - It's going to be interesting how they do this. Potion-making will probably be the same, as might enchanting your gear, but forging weapons and armour leaves room for a wealth of options. It'll have to be slightly linear, but as long as it isn't just a drop-down list of "Iron Longsword, Steel Longsword, Elven Longsword..." then i'll be happy.
It might be a bit much to hope for deep customisability though.

Well they have said that there is going to be a greater focus on making and creating new armour/weapons Avatar, so hopefully there will be lots of customisability, that would be pretty sweet.

I'd assume that the joining the army is similar to the function of the fighters guild in oblivion.
Married thing is a nice touch, nice to think they are adding potential relationships, or at least a quest that acts like one.
Not had much time this week, but will try and get some snippets of that interview up. I will quickly throw on this bit mind.
Spoiler:
All four journalists started in the exact same spot, and this is a brief sum up of each of their three hours.
(Leon - Official Playstation Magazine) Headed west to nearby town of Riverwood, helped an elf keep his girlfriend and gained him as a companion. Playing tag with local children and then went west and killed a Dragon.
(Jon - Official Xbox Magaine) Sabotaged the same couple Leon helped and was rewarded with a song. Explored the intricate Embershaft Mine as he moved North to the town of Whiterun.
(Martin - Edge) Headed southwest slaying Necomancers and Spectral Cats to the settlement of Falkreath. Took a Quest to slay bandits, then circled around to Whiterun in the north east and joined the Companions Guild.
(Tom - PC Gamer) Turned around from the town in the distance and went east in the opposite direction to Riften. Stole a Horse on the way, and caused a huge battle between two sets of Guards chasing him. Explored the ratways under the city.
The PC Gamer guy also said he wasn't expecting much of a leap from Oblivion, he was wrong.
Some of those things make me very excited, different results on the same quest, and not just a 'didn't do it the right way' not much happens. Minor details like being able to play tag with kids?
The PC GAmer guy also went into detail with the combat system, the detail there sounds immense. Mixing magic with regular attacks. For example in his words, 'an archer who can slow time while he aims, knock people off their feet with his arrows and run like the wind between shots.'
yeah, really eager to play this now.

I'm nervous about the whole "get married" business. Games that try to do relationships need to ask themselves a question -- is this something that will actually matter (Mass Effect style) or is this just mechanical (Fable style)? Neither of those really seem to fit the immersive but lonesome gamescapes of TES titles.

Tbh I see it being the latter(Fable Style) while yes they could weave it into the main story somehow like Fable 2.
Spoiler:
He kills you family if you get married before a certain point.
However I see it as just one way to add in some side quests.
When the rich rage war it's the poor who die
