Um.. Mods maybe? I donno. I remember playing Fallout 3, loving it but cursing it for when it ended, and my PC friend said "Shame about mods. Or lack of fnar fnar fnar" to which I didn't think "Hmnmm. Maybe I should get a better PC", I just through "goddamn PC".

Some people will go on and on about the better textures and graphics, but I just got a very high end PC, and played Metro 2033, which played on Xbox also. It felt better on Xbox to be perfectly honest, and it's an FPS!

Tbh while I did come out with the obvious Mods and Graphics, I do not intend to start a flame war over the PC vs Xbox as personally I have both and use each for gaming.

Usually I use my Xbox for either gaming with friends or any general FPS multiplayer.

Pc for most other games.

So im not going to come out with the whole "PC is bettar tan Xbawks hawr hawr" crap, coz both are good for what they do.

Personally, I think the PC community only has the console community simply because of random mods that will pop up. Ive played Morrowind on PC AND the xbox and found the xbox version to be FAR more enjoyable to play. I couldnt cheat, so I had to figure out or work at, beating something, or getting enough money to buy something and so on. On the PC it was "Oh gak I need more money *open construction set* There a bagillion gold....you know what, Ill alos just drop the weapon in this crate.....infact while Im at it, Ill make this sword heal health 25pts CE and restore fatigue 25pts CE and slowfall and so on and so on and so on"

The xbox I had to just figure out a go around. I was a member of the elderscrolls forums when that game was new, adn PC users would talk about how fun it was to have the "Icarian scrolls of flight" spells and all that, well I made my own version on the xbox that took some real doing but when I was done with it, I was much more satisfied that I pulled it off. It was AS good as those scrolls, but it was a cast spell, that allowed me to jump from Balmora to Vivec in 3 leaps, and I didnt die from it (Hurray slowfall!) I had to use the intelligence cheat (alchemy FTW) to make it work but I did it.

I will admit its easier to go onto the "OMG CHEAT TO THE MAXORS" on the PC.

However I always play through once before devolving onto that path

It's like the difference between collecting, smelting, crafting and then building an entire true-scale Eiffel tower in Minecraft- or copypasting it in WorldEdit.

However, there are some mods that are rather nice- things like OOO (Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul) that, instead of adding infinity plus one swords and such, simply change the style of gameplay. I know there's a mod out there to add Elseweyr to Oblivion, with new quests, items and a complete additional continent to explore, or the Morrowind expansion mods, which are attempting to recreate the whole of mainland Morrowind, instead of just Vvardenfell.

It really just depends on what mods you're looking for. I was attempting (may still get back to it) to create a new Guild in Morrowind with a mod- something to be the House Hlaalu of the Guilds, where Fighters are Redoran and Mages are Telvani.

And it's not so much that TES is better or worse (I agree, I much preferred Morrowind on my xBox) but that Consolers simply can't have access to those mods.

I remember a while ago bethesda 'petitioned' to have mods be available on consoles, what became of this?

The Xbox version has quite a bit of the lighting engine and other graphical bells and whistles disabled for reasons I don't really understand.

Though it is likely that the PC version will be the same on everything but the highest spec PCs.

The 360 can't handle certain aspects of gaming graphics, in fact if you look at games like Fight Night Round 3 the boxer's tattoo will get blurry when it moves compared to the PS3 version where it stays as crisp lines. Also, for games like Halo, they look really nice but the game pixelates enemies if they're farther away in order for the game to run properly. As a system the 360 lacks certain processing power for those graphics, in fact a lot of people say that sports games look better on the PS3 compared to the 360, although the PC probably has even better graphics.

That's because you can update PC's unlike consoles (not saying one is better than the other I like them both).

See, I experienced the opposite. Since going to PS3 mainly, the graphics seem a bit more rough than on the Xbox. The Xbox versions of games seemed to look far, far nicer and smoother.

I'm wondering if my TV just hates my ps3.

I spent $700 on my computer..only the morons who buy Alienware for the brand name pay $2000+.

Ill agree to that, £600 comp and its still running fine. Might not be able to run everything on the max settings but it still looks good to me
