You have a point. I may leave the insane spikes for conversions, but I can do shorter, thicker spikes.

The progress on the Nurgle bikes is looking good so far, are they going to have any daemonic parts?

I have to say I'm thinking about buying this just to check it out. I absolutely *love* the Bobber seat, and the front forks would be an easy snip / glue conversion. It says it is 25mm though, which compared to Heroic scale might make it a minibike.

Has anyone seen one of these?

Sorry, I forgot to answer this. I was not planning on it. There will of course be open sores and pus, but I was not planning on making it Demonic.

I do however have a "Doomrider" figure...I could do that for his bike since he appears to be Slaaneshi.

On a similar note...I only have 4 of these motorcycle toys, but I want more bikes. I have one standard Chaos Bike that I was thinking of using for a Biker Lord, but it is much smaller than the ones I am making. I do have some of the old Dark Eldar jet bike bodies that I could convert. But if the toy conversions are looking Orky, those I fear would look even more so. But as with all things, we shall see.

OK, I was able to resist the urge to buy the bikes. Just barely. *whew* That will have to wait.

I did get my Defiler around 80% put together though:



The last 20% is going to be more labor intensive though, I want to sculpt cables and stuff in place of the sticky tack that is holding the upper arms in place, but they will be magnetized, so I can swap the arms out for ranged weapons if there is ever a need. Yeah right.

Also, the Demon Prince got a little bit of love, I added some GS to the wings:



I still plan to add more GS over the wings to make them look better, the GS cured before I could get them to look good.

And I played a game last night. Maybe the last one before I get my army painted, they would just look so much better if they were painted.

My opponent - Lt.Soundwave brought his Tau. I had never seen Tau in person, and I never really like the Battle Suits that I had seen. But seeing them in person, I do like them. They are of course very shooty, and if we had played longer, I'm sure he would have reduced my forces to ashes, but he conceded the game after my movement phase in the 4th turn becasue I was running out of time and had to leave. I am not comfortable with accepting that though, so I have suggested we ignore my last movement phase, and see what the points were before the last turn. I haven't heard back from him yet though. It might mean I lost, but at least I took some skulls. My berzerkers have yet to really get their axes wet with blood, and they are getting restless.

But all in all, a VERY enjoyable game! My defiler did manage to take out some Fire Warriors, and my Obliterators did a fair share of the damage including going into close combat with a Devilfish hover thingy...Not sure if that is the right name... and won! It Expolded all over the place! Also, my Demon Prince engaged and routed a unit of Kroot before being picked off by the shooty-shooty.

Lt.Soundawave is going to take the pics we took and photoshop some lasers and blood onto them and post a Bat Rep later.

sculpted cables and then magnetized? hmmm...sounds tricky... but i think you can pull it off!

as for tau... oh don´t get me started on/with tau.... as if i need another army^^

Just had this idea, sure I'm not the first by any means, but this just occurred to me. Sharing it here seeing how you crave the blood of your enemies as much as I do. Not 'your' enemies, I mean the blood of mine. And by that I don't mean you crave the blood of MY enemies, it's just... well, the phrasing is odd. Anyway, check this out:

Chaos Terminator Champions (ST 4) w/ Power Maul (+2 for ST 6) w/ Mark of Khorne (Furious Charge) = ST 7 on assault.

Wow.

Now consider this as well- 5 Chaos Terminator Champions on charge get 4 attacks. Providing they all make it to CC and all get to attack, that's a potential 20 ST 7 hits on a unit (granted, the Blood God would have to be smiling on you pretty well to make all that happen, but the possibility of it would likely terrify your opponent and keep them far away from your Terminators.

I am so going to try this.

Uh Mark of Khorne does not give Furious Charge... only +1 Attack... for now anyway... ('Zerkers have FC, but "Marked" "normal" units dont get it from the sacred stick...)

instead consider the result of twin LCs...

2 attacks base +1 Champ +1 Addl CCw +1 Charge +1 Khorne... 6 attacks each, AP 3 Str 4 that re roll to wound...

Yup. Just like Mk of Nurgle doesn't confer FNP, just +1 T.

Still, ST 6 isn't anything to scoff at. Wounding on a 2+ and Instant Death on most any Imperial character is pretty awesome.

Skalk, the axe of the Champion did not make it through the postal service intact. I made a slight modification, I hope you don't mind. This seem to fit with "Bloodaxe" a bit better anyway.
And yes, I shall name the model after his benefactor, Skalk Bloodaxe. Even though he's Nurgle, I think it fits.

With the Berzerkers, since they don't really look the same as my current squads, and really, 5 squads of Zerks is quite a few...I am going to turn them into Khornate Raptors!!

Slaughterfiend!!! I was just going to put one of my regular zerks up there, but I ran out of bodies. He is magnetized for tranpotation, and he will have a chain going from his left arm, down to a collar I will put around the defiler's head.

Still working on getting the additional CC arms on the defiler, and magnetized in case I need ranged weapons.

Well, that's it for this thread. I have some stuff to add to my current projects in a few minutes.

Me too! I am hoping to have enough stuff to at least get a base coat on soon, I might have to do the Jump Packs separately, but they will get done.

i think it add a ton of style to write skalk on such a karma package!!!... and i like the idea of the conference... i bet that things like hostile takepver will be much harder and that the term hard bargaining will be coined anew then...^^

and funny all the more that you think about such things... when i named my kids... well i tld my wife they needed names that could get used without shaming my kids in front of the swedish kind when they get the noble price...
