Never heard of the game, but that looks like just the sort of thing to make an appearance in Grotsnik's Guilty Pleasures thread.

It does look suitably silly! Might give it a shot.

I eye rolled when I heard about it and am actually mildly interested after watching the trailer. I think The Rock can really make this type of movie work.

Weren't the monsters originally mutated humans, or we going for the usual science bad and man is the monster trope ?

Yeah, they were people in the game. They all consumed some kind of experimental vitamin/soft drink sort of thing.

George was mutated by a vitamin. Lizzie was mutated by a radioactive lake. Ralph was mutated by some contaminated meat. Ralph was also a Werewolf, not a wolf.

I kept waiting for "George" to eat a person...and watch the Rock's horrified expression!

I saw this trailer today in front of Justice League - and realized what it was based on before the title - so proud of myself!

It looks like a big budget version of an asylum pictures movie. Not for me, but I know others find them immensely entertaining for a beer and pizza night, so I wish them all the best.
